They said we wouldn't do it! Well, here you go. All it took was a little push from JT's nephew, Tristan. Hope y'all have had a great week and a great weekend. If not, let's binge away the sadness together.

Live chat starts at the beginning; the movie begins at 15 minutes.

omg i've been waiting for this, gonna pee my pants - Cooley pointing out the humor around 27:25... yes!!! It’s one of the things that shocked me! So frickin' funny! - The song that starts at 28:52 is STRATEGY by TWICE, an actual K-Pop group that I believe is in their 10th year right now! As a fan of the song, it was awesome to see it added to the movie! - The HUNTR/X girls have different voice actors for their speaking voices and their singing voices. During Golden, the voice you guys pointed out (Rumi) is named EJAE! Zoey's singing voice is Rei Ami, and Mira's singing voice is Audrey Nuna. I know Audrey Nuna has her own work, and I know EJAE has written many, many songs for other artists/groups, including the songs for the movie. Truly talented gals, including the VAs for the girls' speaking voices! - Soda Pop is DEFINITELY supposed to be stupid, corny, and satirical. That scene cracks me up every single time, thanks to the hair and outfits as well. Not for me either, but I have to admit it's super catchy. I think that was the intent, though. - JT pointing out the creativity in the animation is sooo real. It’s the small things that stand out to me so much. It’s partly why I enjoy the movie a lot too. All of the small things that went into this movie is just so cool. After I first watched the movie, I got a lot of tweets from ppl that worked behind the scenes whether it be animation, editing, songwriting etc. and it just made love the movie much more. It’s so crazy the things that went into it that tend to be overlooked and under appreciated. I totally get why this movie isn’t for a lot of people, but super popular with kids/younger folk. I also love this movie because I recently became a K-Pop enjoyer just a year or two before this, so the concept of a K-Pop girl group defeating evil and saving the world through their voices, songs, and fans was awesome to me. Another great reaction video! 😁

To respond to Teaghan, because I don't see it mentioned in the comments, but Jinu likely didn't actually leave his family to die. 400 years ago, musicians were highly coveted by the King in Korea, and he forced them into servitude. He would feed and clothe them and make them feel important, but he wouldn't allow family to come see them. So, the thought is that the Gwi-ma likely fed on the insecurity of "leaving his family behind" and twisted it into something worse. So, Jinu was likely not actually a bad guy before his soul was taken by Gwi-ma. Saja also essentially means "messenger or envoy," so the Saja Boys was a play on Gwi-ma's messengers. Also, one of the biggest things that we Asians feel is the parental pressure, which is great to see in a movie as big as this. Also, the "pilgrim" hats were a big thing around Jinu's time. It denoted status, wealth, or power. Jinu likely wore one while with the King and then wore it during the performance to show power over the audience. Also, I know JT and Cooley are not lyric people, but one thing to note about the Soda Pop song is that the entire song is filled with word plays about drinking the souls of the people they are singing to. The same goes for Your Idol. That song has so much wordplay lol.
