Wikipedia lists the personnel on the page for the album, and most of the songs have their own pages, so you can see the instruments on each one in one way or another, to figure out what you were hearing in “champagne problems”

Mary (onlyeverthus)

“tolerate it” was in the OG Eras tour, and removed when she added TTPD, so you’ve heard it (and I remember y’all counting the beat in that too, lol)

Mary (onlyeverthus)

William Bowery is Joe Alwyn, Taylor’s ex. And Bryce Dessner is Aaron’s twin brother, but the lead singer for the band is Matt Berninger, so that’s who’s singing with Taylor in “coney island”

TiffK83

Ohhhhhh yayyyy!

Mary (onlyeverthus)

Marcus Mumford (lead singer of Mumford and Sons) does the backing vocals on “cowboy like me” and a lot of people want her to do a “cowboy like me, feat. more Marcus Mumford” version, like she did for “Snow on the Beach” with Lana Del Ray, lol

Morgan Blaney

This and High School Musical 3 within 24 hours?? We are spoiled

Jessica Rae

Glitter Pen, Quill, Fountain Pen!

Crystal K

On Dorothea, Selena Gomez said on her husband Benny’s podcast last week that the song is about her, and also that there’s another, unreleased one

Crystal K

On Happiness, after spending the last 18 months enduring the divorce of my 27 yr marriage, I long for the day that I can hear it and keep my eyes from soaking everything down to my collar

Lauri

I just bought the vinyl a couple weeks ago and haven’t even had a chance to listen. Now I can do a first listen with you guys!!

Crystal K

The backup vocals on Cowboy Like Me are Marcus Mumford. He let them use his home studio to record for a day and overheard them playing this and asked to sing background. He performs it at concerts and things and says it’s his fav TS song ever

Mary (onlyeverthus)

evermore is always my favorite between folklore and evermore. I think Taylor said that evermore is more winter vibes while folklore is summer vibes, which is probably why I love it, it’s got that darker winter vibe to it (or rainy day, like JT said). Hope you enjoyed my running commentary reaction to your reaction, kbye.

Alex C

Omg yes Evermore my babe, it has such a special place in my heart ❤️

Nicolette

Such a fun reaction. And yes JT you are correct about tolerate it being when they’re at the diner table and Taylor goes into cat mode and climbs on it and starts knocking shit off from the eras tour. It was cut when she added ttpd iirc so wasn’t in the newest movie version.

Jen St.Clair

Folklore just hit and made me a fan, but evermore made me a Swiftie for life 🫶 loved y’all’s reaction!!!

MN_Samantha

Honestly my fav album I think. 🤎

Ariel

okay camera quality looking hella good, it even makes you guys hotter ;D

Erin from Oregon

I know JT was talking about Aaron Dessner when he said willow was "sad like Aaron" but let me tell you when I heard that I was like, how did you know? 🤣

Stacey

Her most underrated album ever. Cowboy Like Me is one of her best songs ever and I will die on that hill. And Ivy. The story she weaves in them are top tier.

Erin from Oregon

JUST ... Such a fun reaction video! Thanks, you two!!

Lizel

Oh boy! This is a real treat. Love me some Evermore. Even the pots & pans song 😂 IYKYK

Sandy Johnson

I JUST love this album so so so much and it was a treat to listen with ‘the guys’!!

Sandy Johnson

It’s totallyyyy a rainy day album! Maybe that’s why I love it so much (Sandy….from Seattle ☔️)

Yvonne van Wanrooij

some fun facts! The male singer in Coney Island is Matt Berninger, lead singer of the National. Aaron and his twin brother bryce are also a part of the band! Aaron is also part of a band called " Big Red Machine", which is a collaboration between him and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). They released a song with Taylor called Renegade and its one of my fav TS songs ever!

Molly McCann

Crying at the intro 😂😂

Teresa Salas

Regarding Closure, Taylor said she told Aaron to send her all the tracks he had even the weirdest ones. I love how crazy Closure sounds, like the dissonance one might feel if an old acquaintance reached out for closure and it was not welcome.

ashlee

best surprise!! this album is so near and dear to my heart. tolerate it is my ULTIMATE taylor track, the lyricism and melodies are so cathartic as someone who strongly relates to that unfortunate topic. “i made you my temple, my mural, my sky. now i’m begging for footnotes in the story of your life. ” is one of the best lyrics of all time. it’s one of my dream tattoos and it corresponds with story of my life -1d so it could represent two different special songs of mine 🤎 thank you for this wonderful reaction!!

Katie Hardy

The way Taylor gave Tolerate It the 5th Song Treatment so much she did the time signature in 5s. That's the most Taylor shit I've ever seen.

Krista Grigsby

Motion for the live eras version of Cowboy Like Me

Art

i can’t be the only one who’s tired of all the Taylor’s swift stuff, right?..

Dayle

🤩 so happy! This isn’t my favourite TS album, but it has some of my favourite songs. Ivy and Tis The Damn season are two of my top 5 favourite TS songs. “I can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland, my house of stone and your Ivy grows, and now I’m covered in you” and absolutely UNREAL lyric. She’s amazing.

Dayle

JT trying to explain glitter pen, fountain pen, quill pen songs to Cooley took me out! You’re getting into the lore! 😆

CassandraRN

I love that Cooley is clearly just sitting with the music at times. That's what I love about this album. You can just sit with it and let it wash over you.

Leslie Manuel

I've been watching you guys on YouTube since your Swiftie journey began, but an album reaction to Evermore has me on Patreon now. Evermore is definitely my top 3 albums of hers. Not sure how long I'll be a paying member, but will definitely enjoy what you've got while I'm here.

Corinne

In the long pond sessions video, before the song invisible string, she is talking to Aaron about writing it, and says he gave her a guitar with a rubber bridge, it's a late 1950s guitar that has been renovated so the bridge deadens the strings and makes it sound really old. Is that by chance the sound/instrument y'all couldn't quite place? Loved watching this. Made me like evermore even more.

Linds K

I love that you compared No Body No Crime to Carolina because she mashed those two up as a surprise song on the Eras Tour. She called it the Murder Mashup 😂

Amanda Lower

Ah Closure, lovingly known as the "Pots and Pans" song because it sounds like they just decided to experiment smacking some pots and pans with drumsticks, least fav song and seems out of place for this album but just my opinion

trelew1972

Evermore it's her most underrated album. It's a masterpiece!!!

Robert Thompson

guitar sound --- Aaron has a vintage old guitar that he had modded with a rubber bridge; he gave another one to Taylor when they started working together.

Robert Thompson

harmonies in Cowboy Like Me aren't Jack ---- Marcus Mumford sat in for it. He also did a live cover of it one night. 👏🏻👏🏻

Robert Thompson

weird percussion in closure was not Jack --- it was Justin Vernon. 😮

Dana Ries

In closure, the beat is a distraction, but I always thought of it that the beat was a distraction just like the letter is a distraction. I'm doing better. I'm fine. I don't need your closure and now here's your letter. I'm having to look at your handwriting. see your name on this envelope and it's just putting this little bit of chaotic mess into my day/life that was otherwise going just fine and smoothly right now, so I always thought of that slightly disorganized beat as what the letter did to her when she got it.

Ana Wyborski

please listen to No Body, No Crime again for the story/lyrics! it’s savage. Marcus Mumford (Mumford and Sons) is the male backing vocal in Cowboy Like Me. he performed it live with her once on Eras, and just did an official cover with the whole band for BBC. this is also a sign that The National is a band y’all should definitely dabble in.

trelew1972

Yes, tolerate it was in the Eras tour the first one before she included the TTPD. Tolerate it was one of the songs she cut when she merged it into folkmore. Tis the season was also removed. I was lucky to attend the tour 5 times and saw both versions: once in Tampa, twice in Argentina, once in Wembley and the last one I attended in my hometown: Miami.

trelew1972

I love Dorothea. She wrote it about her friend Selena. They have been friends for almost 20 years. It's so nostalgic.
