I know Lazarus will be very good so I will be very excited to watch it alongside you. Watanabe doesn’t miss. I am a little sad Samurai Champloo is going to be on hold, but the timing is perfect for Lazarus. It’s funny how much of his most renowned material is getting seen as of late.

first off, love the pic lol, second, tough one, because on the one hand lazarus has got the john wick people behind it in addition to all the other top tier talent thats been listed, on the other, that is no guarantee of a a hit, or something you would like, im torn between 3 episodes and vote, i have a feeling itll be good either way though.

I never said Watanabe has flopped, I said he could. Which is true, all creators can create something bad regardless of past achievements Hayao Miyazaki made Porco Rosso after the astounding Princess mononoke and before the great The boy and the heron. No artist is immune to a hiccup

On the off chance it doesn't turn out well I'd say vote first and get a gauge on what the response to Lazarus is. I'd be legitimately surprised if it didn't turn out great but there's no harm in watching it a bit later than release.

Vote. Lazarus will be a weekly airing show so it'll be only one episode a week rather than the two that it would be replacing. You would get the advantage of getting to watch the show the same time as other people, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who is less interested in reactions to brand new shows. I typically don't want to watch an episode of a show and then rewatch it again immediately. Personally reaction/rewatches are more enjoyable for things I didn't just see. Then if Lazarus is actually a hit it can get picked up in the future and you get the luxury of watching it at twice the episodes a week as everyone else did. Pros and cons both ways, I'm sure there are people subbed with the opposite opinion on new shows.

You are right that being pessimistic about new things is the most pragmatic option. Kind of a bummer though don't you think? Isn't it more fun to get excited about it and then comiserate with everyone afterwards if it sucks? I got a lot of enjoyment out of complaining about Game of Thrones lol

Vote. According to a Feb 27 press release, in the U.S., the episodes with Japanese audio and English subs will air 30 days after the English audio version… It looks like recent reactions have used Japanese audio. I'm assuming we're looking for a replacement within a week.

lazarus! you can always start something else in a month or 3 but i figure if a reactors going to watch something anyway they may as well watch when its at its most hype and bringing in lots of views, and lazarus looks like it’ll be one of the biggest anime of the year at least upon release.

Lazarus is produced by Adult Swim and their last hype title Ninja Kamui started amazingly and then fell off of a cliff towards the end. I don't know how much you've enjoyed Bebop but even if it's from the same author, it's better to let Lazarus finish and see the sentiment after.

It's about the person writing the story, not who produced it. That series fell off from the first second because it was a horrible script.

Uhm, no, that's not how it works. The writer doesn't get the final say on how his script is adapted. The producer that finances the show gets to decide how much they keep or change and how they'd want the studio to make the final product. FYI the executive producer for Lazarus (the one that controls the production) is Jason DeMarco who's been the executive producer for Ninja Kamui and Uzumaki and both were major flops after a strong first impression. Which is why I'm saying it's better to wait for it to finish airing and see the sentiment. Plus, the anime will air in Japanese dub with English subs 30 days after the English dub, so he'll either have to watch English dub or get fansubs which usually do dubtitles (using English dub script). That's just an unnecessary mess that can be avoided by simply waiting a bit.

Quite the false equivalency for what the purpose is. This is a patreon post asking if we should vote or not... that is it. This has no grounds for doing numbers anywhere other than asking for text input from folks who are already here. I could post a pic from the official show, without permission, for the same post and the role is the same.

It doesn't matter how trivial it is. Like the recent trend of using AI to turn a photo Ghibli-style on Twitter. Nobody is making any money with those, but its still gross. Legality is irrelevant. I personally hope you don't continue to use anything AI generated, but you can obviously do whatever you want.

ADDITIONALLY you can't possibly be upset about that while simultaneously electing to watch a pareon with anime reactions at the same time. The patreon is by far not in line with fair use. My perspective here is with the added context of you saying you might be using AI for thumbnails in a previous video. If you've decided against that, or I misunderstood, then alright. I think posting AI images for any purpose is unfortunate, but you're right that it wouldn't really matter if this is actually the extent of it. I'm not here to watch anime without paying for Crunchyroll, I'm here to listen to what you think about a show I've already seen. If you posted them with most of the show cut out and just kept in the parts with you talking, I'd watch that. I'm not the type of person to tell you to stop pausing the music.

I have used it to add shading elements and some lighting effects. A lot quicker than me in PS. It also has brainstormed quite a few ideas but I don't think I would ever use it outright for an entire thumb as I don't need to do that. It could be clever for some unique positions with multi vids as i don't make any money off those vids. Aint nobody talking about your crunchyroll . That has nothing to do with my point that you are intentionally side-stepping.

Also, I feel like I need to let you know that I have been working with a real artist for an upcoming shirt merch design drop. When it comes I don't need you thinking "OMG this guy made a shirt using AI and didn't pay a real artist" when in fact a human is being paid.
