So much in this episode! I am glad I didn't miss the segment after the ED WOW 😢Other than the sad moment at the very end this episode was so damn funny. The ramen battle was on par with Delicious in Dungeon food comedy. A+

Halo S

the ramen segment felt inspired by JoJo

S

That sad bit at the end, they’ll be more of those moments. Characters will show their vulnerable side but in a way that doesn’t drown out the comedic bits. We can all reassure you it will definitely get better, not that it wasn’t good already.

The ramen section is where I came around on fujiwara being a great character lol. She's not just the dumb annoying characters, she's living in a different world than everyone else lol

CK C

Season 2 gonna be crazy.

Lixien

I don't remember if it was mentioned that this has the same writer as Oshi no Ko. So yeah, as we already know, he can get ''real'' with his stories.

Jet Man

If anybody knows someone in real life that acts like our ramen guy, I'd love to make friends with them 👏

I wanna shout out the English dub for the Ramen guy cause for a one off bit character the actor gave 220% to it it’s hilarious. It’s already been said before but seasons 2 and 3 are definitely even better, and the balancing of small bits of real drama like at the end of this episode with the absurd comedy is pretty expertly done.

Aka Akasaka at his best

Love the random world building we get with the silly ramen segment. The show is just like, by the way, canonically there are 4 Ramen Kings in the lore, do with that knowledge as you wish... And for me, every great comedy has to have those sincere moments where not everything is played off for laughs, and the characters feel real, multi-dimensional, and vulnerable. I think a lot of people (myself included) consider Kaguya peak rom-com because it really does nail both sides of the equation, which will only become more apparent in the upcoming seasons.

Aritome

Aww man. I know music isn't my forte, but I would love a deep dive into the ramen scene's music and how it matches up with segments of the animation. The trumpet lining up with the garlic crush animation leading into the inspirational music. The ost is so dynamic and ridiculous man.

Matthew Coyle

I think you would enjoy food-wars if you enjoy over the top food anime comedy

I'm sure it's already been mentioned somewhere in the comments but yes, all three seasons are phenomenal.
