Lulu

You were infinitely nicer to the ending song this time around then when you first heard it XD

TheBigOhm

Any chance you'd give the dub a try? I saw this first on Adult Swim years back and they aired the dub. Hearing both i personally enjoy the dub better for this show

Uschi

I think the fretting came from your reaction to the Samurai Champloo ending in one of the multi-anime endings videos. Methinks you were expecting heavy, super duper hip-hop due to the description and that’s not what the ending was at all lol

Lixien

Yeah you did the ED for a Multi Ending video (Multiple Ending 1) and you commented the same thing about the voice being low in the beat lol.

neZiiak

Have you played Ghost of Tsushima?

Jhon 1479

I was waiting for this

Ryukyu Islands are chain of islands southwest of Japan which contains Okinawa for example, back then in the Edo period the inhabitants were part of a separate kingdom from Japan. I think its implied here that since Mugen is from there, he is an outsider who doesn't know or care about common knowledge and customs and is therefore a wildcard.

I can't wait to watch this on break at work. We kinda have to worry about little because you see and hear the world differently from most people. So it just makes sense. Even though I have been doing gigs as a singer for years, I don't have the full musician, let alone a world/national class music director POV. Your platform has made me go back and view anime on a different level. Also, please don't be so hard on the dub people. I believe they just wanted you to give props to the guy who voiced spike, even if it would be for one episode. Dub/sub only matters to me for the sake of craft. I'm with you Tony, I'm too old for the 🧀 . You rock. How does it feel to have superpowers?

DIO not Dio

The VA for Mugen is Zoro from OP, Toshiro from Gintama, and my goat Jin from Ghost of Tsushima 🔥🔥 guy really loves playing badass swordsmen lol

Zach Harding

just casually leaving out he's also spike from cowboy bebop 😂

Zach Harding

Just realized you might've been referring to the Japanese VA...my bad!

drumrolltonyreacts

I wasn't given a hard time to anybody about people that are doing voice acting though I was talking about the soundtrack and mainly talking about one person

Hermit

This is better than I remember, can't wait for more!

Pepperoni Pony .

Actually Spike is played by Yamadera Kouichi who also voiced Corazon in OP.

rubberkidney

one of the great 1st episodes of all time

Isaac Noël

Man you are gonna love this show. Nujabes is the GOAT

Isaac Noël

You wanna know a great samurai game that doesn't take too long and is still a very satisfying gaming experience? Katana Zero. It's on the switch as well as PC, and works great as a game to play in transit if you're a public transport guy

Lulu

I'd die for a Tony Sekiro stream

Isaac Noël

@Zach Harding actually the Japanese voice actors are different. Steve Blum plays Spike and Mugen in the English dub but they have different Japanese voice actors.

It is always brought up as a topic of major conversation and debate, but Nujabes (one of the composers for Samurai Champloo) is considered to be one of the forefathers of what's know as lofi hip-hop nowadays, referred as jazzhop often. Most of his music is outstanding, but 2 of my favourites are his classics "Feather" and "Lady Brown". RIP Nujabes, gone way too soon, didn't get to fully experience the revolution he started for hip-hop.

Dracul von Carstein

You can totally watch this Anime on Englisch dub if you want.

P_ateric

Oh yeah the style of this title is something else

Ethan Hines

If you want to play a samurai game that is so hard it’ll make you not want to play samurai games anymore, I recommend Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Ethan Hines

Casually just one of the best OPs ever made

ScaringCrows

Yeah that or Ghost of Tsushima for sure

ScaringCrows

There's a self title album from an Australian band called Koi Child that is like a hip hop jazz fusion and it's excellent
