This is easily my favorite episode of the series. I think this is where I am 100% bought in. I definitely enjoyed it before this part... but as soon as they brought in the music/arts side, it became VERY interesting!

"This video was deleted by the creator" maybe it is juste temporary ?

Jin

same here, still getting "This video has been removed by the creator"

CK C

Nah it's not working yet

dpilg

Can confirm, still not working

I just wish the show didn't show all the people criticizing the system as people ready to throw molotovs or going full psycho and willing to cut random people's throat. It kills the message and the nuance imo

Lucipurr

Season 1 ends at a good point in terms of story but season 2 lacks all the wow factors that season 1 has, so it's good to stop this at season 1

Lixien

CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEEEEEL

Lixien

I mean to me, they are showing that the system makes people throw molotov cocktails and going full psycho. I think that's the point they're trying to make. They've already showed us people not ok with the system that aren't really doing any crimes.

Season 1 has two versions, the new edited versions added new scenes and modified some scenes. The old version has 22 eps, The new versions combined every two eps and modified some scenes, so it has only 11 eps but each ep is like 48 minutes long.

I'm not sure if I watched all the movies and seasons of this show but the shows expands a lot, and there are lots of epic scenes especially fight scenes.

Jet Man

Yeah, season 1 is enough. (Granted, its all I watched) There might be an argument for the movie being worthwhile, but probably not a 'must-watch'

Loayza

The general opinion is that the second season sucks, and it's definitely the worst of all Psycho-Pass but I don't think it's that bad. It obviously doesn't live up to the first season, which is the best and probably fine as a standalone. Now, I think the rest of the content is pretty good, and they expand the world and characters a lot. It's worth giving the second season a chance and see if it's passable until you get to the rest of the content (It won't be half as bad as with FMAB and Re:Zero lol so I think it will be a positive experience) at the very least it would be a shame to drop the show without even giving it a chance, which is what many did.

Hermit

I agree with you about the system pushing people to those extremes, but the ones who are criticizing the system but not going psycho are not doing anything and passively participating in the system, or living in some form of exile, like that profiling teacher guy. To me it's kinda giving off the idea that "System = bad, activism = bad, giving up / status quo is the lesser evil". It's also possible I'm reading too much into this and should touch some grass 🫠

Lucipurr

Yup, the movie is more of " yay , we missed these characters and action" kind of vibe

Lixien

That's true, but maybe the Sibyl System is just so extreme to the point that it just leads people into either giving up or go to extremes and ultimately going into a bad path (end up killing people or just going crazy). Hell, doing sometinh a little wrong thing can get you in jail here.

Marien Panta

I second that. I even think, if the second season would have appeared before the first (the first then being some kind of prequel), it wouldn't have been as bad, maybe. But after this really good first season the second seemed kinda... useless or undeserving? But it is not horrible, I think.

Fuji Nami

CAUSE I FEEELL. literally the only thing i remember from psycho pass lol. Do not get your expectations too high please and enjoy the... trash ( :( ). i dont remember it not being entertaining though

I think the issue with what you're wanting, is that there's no reason to show the people you are mentioning in the show. If they're not doing anything to get the attention of the MWPSB then they're not reasonably going to appear in an episode. I also think the show trusts you to understand nuance because even the "villains" and "criminals" actually make reasonable points about things. They don't have to show you a reasonable person making a reasonable argument just for you to agree with what someone is saying

Nick K

My personal opinion: season 1 (24 episodes) is the best of the show and really gets you invested in the world. Season 2 is still really enjoyable to me and worth watching but I won't shout down others that don't like it. Next there's the first movie which I think was good but I don't really remember beyond some hilarious engrish at the very start that somehow stuck with me. After that is everything I never got around to that came out several years later which is the 3 one hour Sinners of the System movies, then Season 3, and then a final follow-up movie. Also although you got to listen to the new opening, next episode you get to see the REAL new opening in all it's glory. The visuals on the OP this episode was mostly just a placeholder for whatever reason, the actual one is super fun visually. So, I'd personally say continue watching, but no one is going to be too upset if you don't continue. I also think it's a decision you will not be able to make, or rather should not make, until you get to the end because of how this show ends. Hope that was helpful!

Sensitive Sushi

I believe and i may be wrong. That the sibyl system is inspired partly by Benjamin Libets experiment.
