This anime is f&@king great 🤘What an episode! This visit to the prof in the countryside has opened so many ideas/questions on where this story could go. Kogami is in a rough spot right now.

In case it wasn't clear, the chief not having the processing power thing was referring to the fact that the individual that controls the chief android at any given time is not participating in the collective Sibyl System while they do so, they're just a (mostly) normal individual who can talk to Sibyl. The Sibyl System had made some decision and handed out orders that the individual couldn't understand the reasoning for by him/herself. The decision was presumably to tell Akane about the nature of the Sibyl System, thus why Sibyl reaches out to Akane via a Dominator, her normally limited interface with Sibyl.

Ok now I'm confused. Didn't they have their face hanging out exposing terminator like features a bit back????

Normal in the sense that she's not a superintelligence (like she normally is when participating in the collective Sibyl). She's like the hunter guy who had cyberized his whole body.

"why does that look so smooth?" In reference to Kogami pulling up on the motorcycle, this is because him and the motorcycle in that frame are CGI so it's a continuous animation, rather than the rest of the show which is animated a standard animated FPS. So the conventionaly animation is made at 12 frames per second, while the CGI part is layered on top and is probably at like 60 frames per second. So the CGI parts look very "smooth" although for people with a discerning eye it might look "cheapened" or jarring when it doesn't blend well with the rest of the animation, kind of like when you notice an instrument is a computer versus a real instrument when others would not be able to hear the difference.

Cost. Usually it is done for elements that either aren't the main focus of the scene (often times random people walking in a crowd, cars driving in the background, etc), or something that would be really involved to animate conventionally versus just using a 3D CGI model that they can manipulate and record to overlay on the scene. Imagine a scene with a boat. If the boat is being viewed from a static perspective than you can potentially just draw the boat once conventionally and you're good, but if the view is rotating around the boat, then they would need to animate individually how the boat looks from every angle, so instead to save time and money they just render it in CGI and rotate a virtual camera around the boat and layer that into the animation. This is why there was some aversion to Demon Slayer using so much CGI because it's often to seen as a cheaper alternative, but Demon Slayer is an example of how it can be used and still retain a level of quality, at least when done well.

Dominators are linked to the system, so I'd assume it's the brains reaching out to her, which might have been the decision that confused the chief earlier

Season 2 3 and 8 movies would solve the questions. the story pace are not as good as s1, But the world development would be discussed. And actions scenes movie is crazy.

Movie 1 after season 2 Movie 234 before season 3 Movie 567 after season 3 And movie 8 as the ten years anniversary, which explains things between the gap. I guess that's it, I don't think I have watched all them too

There are only 5 movies and 3 of them are 1h long
