The number of times people have chosen to sacrifice their own lives to advance the cause is truly remarkable. The title and printing press reveal moment was a nice touch. 🙏Everything went down to a literal coin flip... I am glad to have a day in between reactions to think about the anime before hitting the next episode.

I think the betrayal was really well revealed imo. During my watch, especially when the traitor was handling the bag of printing parts in the carriage. I was noticing very subtle, almost suspicious movements and gestures, indicating that he had ulterior motives to being part of the group. You'll definitely catch it the next time the camera focuses on him during a rewatch. Schmidt flipping the coin after the results, and choosing death for the cause over his own life made me like him so much more cause it made me recall Rafal's paraphrase "life is long, depending on how you use it." Random tangent: I propose that we should pick two anime candidates once Orb is done. Then we ask God and flip a coin on video. /s

Just to full circle that coin flip. Two or three chapters ago she asked Schmidt she wouldn't let anything to a coin flip and he answered "You'll get it one day". Basically he was implying he is not letting anything to a coin flip but whatever the outcome, he'll accept it.

I started watching this with you and it’s something i looked forward to every week 🙏🏼. Bittersweet feeling to see we only have 3-4 eps. However, super excited to see what the outcome will be!

I don't think I realized (or maybe just forgot) that the traitor was the boy who had his parents killed by his uncle a few episodes ago. I can't imagine being that pissed off at heretics and then believe it to be okay to die for those personal convictions. But we've seen it on both sides of this conflict. Humans are capable of some crazy shit.

At only 8 volumes this is going on the shelf for sure for me. This is something you can definitely pick up every couple of years to read and appreciate.

Bro, when you said "are we going to see the coin flip before the ending?" I was like "what do you mean? We're only half into the episode" and then I checked and we're somehow at the end. This anime is so insane man, this episode passed way too quickly 🤯 this is definitely going to be one of my 10/10s
