WOW - was not expecting some good news... 👀What a wild ride. Like I mentioned in the video.. some of this anime stuck and some of it did not. We definitely need to do an OST listening video because a huge amount of great composition has been given to our ears over the course of these episodes.

Sadly, Shisui aka Loulan is never shown again. They just wanted to show her at the end to let us know that she survived. If you look closely, the hairpin has a bullet hole, which ultimately saved her life. Good news though, Season 3 has been confirmed.! Maomao and Jinshi's romantic relationship progresses a lot in the next two novels, which season 3 will cover. Thank you for reacting to this anime. I had an amazing time rewatching ! I would also love to see you react to an anime similar to the apothecary diaries, but can’t wait to see what you decide to react to next! :)

I didnt hear a confirmation but it's a given they will continue this show to the end of the Light Novel unless something unusual happens. It'll take a while but yeah.

I kinda expected the kids to survive but i tried not to think about it while waiting for next eps because i didn't want to hope too much, I'm also so happy that shisui survived, can't wait for her reunion with maomao

LMAO, tony is experience the great anime romantic tease cliche that any who enjoy anime romances are familiar with, so many damn confessions/kisses blocked by fireworks, friends, or just bull shittery LOL. Also surprised at how many people missed the bullet impact on the pin, i guess being a cinephile im just so used to that trope that i knew it would happen when he said "and that was the last time i would see "lolan"" I wonder if @tony has figured out that this is basically 1640's ming china? but fictitiously. And yes, the anime stuido has already confirmed the next season, set to air "sometime" in 2026, based on previous seasons id bet summer or fall.

yup yup, love to hate it lol. i know you said that you knew it was china, but i don't remember getting into its specifically 1640's ming china? might have to go back and re-bing lol. edit: also don't know why, but i generally don't like live action romantic comedy's, but in anime, its suddenly funny, maybe its because its so over the top in anime, like love is war.

fair enough, i didn't figure it out till this season and im a huge history buff, i knew it was based on the forbidden city, i mean its got such a similar layout, but the flintlock is what sealed it, invented in 1610 in France, also the "westerners" that they were talking about and to are from the central Asian steppe, i forgot the name of the peoples they represent, but in the manga the author straight up drew the dress that they still wear today in the Kazakhstan region

Just want to say that Maomao was performing some sternal rubs on these children 9:53, rubbing on the flat bones of the chest, it causes very uncomfortable sensations, and it's used to wake patients up. So i think it's medically very accurate that they show this here.
