OP song is pretty good. Not sure if I can take the ED tho 😂The storyline is fun so far. The scene where he is talking to the Alpaca about who she likes... and she hands him the photo of him, lmaooooo I like the two comedians... hopefully the gig works out for him and the other one finds something!

I guess being an obsessed fan of an idol group not only makes you blind but also deaf

Sk dragon

i think japanese taxis have automatic opening doors

I've actually watched Odd Taxi before back when it first aired, but never actually finished it because I was too lazy to do it, and the only thing I remembered about this series is that it's insanely good at using Chekhov's Gun. I honestly forgot how crispy the dialogues are in this anime

omg i laughed so hard at your reaction to the guy comparing his idol to Janis Joplin. IT IS SO NOT JANIS JOPLIN

PlatypusPrince

The comedy duo are specifically a Manzai comedy duo which is a type of Japanese comedy usually revolving around a straight man and a funny man trading jokes at great speed, usually around mutual misunderstandings, puns and other verbal gag type stuff. I think the intention is that while they're funny at points and entertaining to listen to they're not specifically a great Manzai duo. I think it says volumes about the ED that I didn't even remember OddTaxi had one lmao, I get it's done by the in-show idol group but... man...

Yea in general sketch comedy is way more popular than standup in japan

Hermit

Didn't know Janis Joplin, gave it a listen, that idol sounds NOTHING like her hahaha

There's also been a couple little details hinting at some big twists, it really makes the 2nd watch worth it

I never noticed it before, but this anime reminds me a lot of Durarara In how the world is slowly built up in these well-written and enjoyable conversations that at first, while interesting, don’t seem to connect at all On the recommendation post for replacing this one I’ll definitely mention it

I was thinking the same thing as you. If Tony likes this show, I think he'll enjoy Durarara and Baccano as well.
