When I was watching this weekly and the show decided to throw a whole peak backstory episode out of nowhere about the dude that almost got hit by the taxi (amongst other things) plus the fact that this cartoony looking show that seemed for kids was like... "this", anything the show decided to throw at me after was like: "what the hell, yeah sure, do your thing"

Sk dragon

i saw the description and was like what rap scene and then i remembered lol. great anime

Alamun

The idol said she wants to stop doing badger games. I didn't know what that was when I first watched this. Wikipedia says it's "an extortion scheme or confidence trick [don't know what that is either] in which the victims are tricked into compromising positions in order to make them vulnerable to blackmail". I'm guessing she's referring to what she helped do to Kakihana.

Isaac Noël

i know what you mean when you're like, "so much is happening" there really is zero fat on this anime

Jet Man

Anytime Yano speaks it is a treasure. I've never known a person irl that can bust out a rap at the drop of a hat.

Hermit

The rap scene reminds me of Devilman Crybaby. Hope we'll see it one day on the patreon, it's a real trip

Jet Man

Oh gosh, Devilman Crybaby is definitely a trip and a half. Not for the feint of heart.

Something interesting about the Cop twins is that they're actually played by a real life Manzai comedy duo, and a lot of their interactions are a lot closer to what real Manzai comedy is like compared to the comedy duo in the show (who are still funny). The little brother's conversation with Odokawa is hilarious and almost like a makeshift Manzai routine. I don't know who came up with the idea to have Yano speak entirely in rap but I wanna shake their hand lmao I forgot just how hilarious it is when you first meet him.

Derek

I didn't know that leg cramp trick. Thanks!

P_ateric

also drink enough water and eat bananas

Astro

Yeah I was wondering when we were gonna get that closet thing addressed. He spoke to someone in there with no response in the first few episodes, we were kinda led to believe it was the missing high school girl but it’s not clear. I’m watching this along with you so I am eager to put all the pieces together too lol

H. H

I'm really looking forward to watch the ending of this anime.
