lol, im crying because you right, but ill still vote for it anyway, also, aside from madoka, we really can't lose with this vote, the problem with madoka that alot of us boomer millennial fans won't realize is what made it special is it was first, but its been done since and better since, imo it doesn't hold up on the rewatch, and i don't think tony will like it, since its magical girl, but hey, ive been surprised before

I like her Japanese dub... But when she starts speaking English, well, that's where things get tricky... Black Lagoon is one of the few series whose English dubbing is as good as the Japanese one

I voted black lagoon, it's alright. The community's taste here has shifted drastically ever since cowboy bebop had to compete with.... overlord. I do not think Madoka Magica is the right fit. It's going to be a mistake. Hold me accountable. I personally enjoyed Madoka and I LOVE and adore Monogatari and other Shaft anime (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is under rated) and he might like other Gen Urobuchi works like he enjoyed Pscho Pass, BUT I can't see Tony liking Madoka Magica at all. He doesn't like artsy shock or non standard conversations. You can look at rezero or kill la kill. He barely held on with code geass. I can't see him liking Evangelion much less Madoka

Re zero and code geass are not artsy lol. He liked steins gate which is conversation driven. Hard to compare re:zero with a 12 episode show. It's difficult for a show this short to drag, it doesn't have time to be boring like longer shows are sometimes.

Funny thing is madoka isn't even that talky, it trusts it ls audience without having to explain every single detail like the above mentioned shows.

I'm very interested in what his take on this will be. He will either find it very interesting or not like. It's well written and it doesn't have the annoying shit that KLK And R:Z had that made Tony drop them. Like obnoxious, loud annoying characters. Or random awkward comedy gags that don't fit the scene. Despite its cutesy facade, it's more mature than a lot of anime coming out today too

I used two words not in isolation lol. I said artsy shock, I meant being moody and violently in your feels like rezero and evangelion. I also said standard conversations. Steins;gate and Orb (I love Orb so much) are driven by witty conversations but Madoka isn't, the conversations aspect alone is more like Made in Abyss but I don't want to get into spoilers. I just hope he feels okay to drop it after 3 episodes. Who knows I could be wrong. Im surprised he liked Demon Slayer. I was also surprised he liked Konosuba over rezero. So Ive been wrong plenty of times before. Me comparing different shows together might seem random, but I was correct with Bebop, Kill la Kill, and more times than not.

I am beyond shocked that Madoka won. Fair warning, the anime takes a long time to pick up steam. They reveal bits of the plot every episode, but you don't get the whole picture until the end. If you stick with it, it's worth it, but this one might not be your jam. Its full of cute with dark undertones

Idk about Madoka but I’m so sure Tony would enjoy Castlevania, music is cool, story is dark and medieval and has elements of DnD ofc. I hope he does a 3 episode rule for the top 2 suggestions like he did last time! And if he doesn’t enjoy Castlevania more I will gladly eat my words
