Detlef is really crossing the mental age of a boy into a young adult. Great episode for showing the variety of input on "why do we do this?"Spawned a tangent Tony at the end about equity and access etc... but this cough just got the best of me. Sorry, wanted to talk more but it's been super rough the past 5 days.

Very enjoyable episode. We all definitely had the same thoughts as Detlef at some point, but when you get it out of your head and realize how important it is to keep going and push through for your own sake - it is genuinely life-changing. Thank you for the upload, and get well soon!

The logo on Yamaguchi's shirt is the ASICS logo in Japan. In japanese, "Ashi" means "foot" and they pronounce ASICS as "Ashics" so the logo is a pun "Ashi-ics"

Yup I went through that same thought process and it was actually this episode that got me completely out of that mentality. Definitely motivated me to try new things and not worry too much about comparing myself to others. Also Tsukki became one of my favorite characters after this. Loved his development

21:45 yeah i mentioned it before as it has been in the imagery that they've used in previous episodes, including mutliple times where there's just a shot of the (crescent) moon, or a literal Sun and Moon when comparing them. "Tsuki" i think is a word you'll probably recognise in anime, snce the Moon is a relatively common thing in anime

22:51 Tsukishima's OST that plays here (Moonrise) really encapsulates his constant thinking nature for me

SKAOG

get well soon!

It's cool with the difference between hinata and tukki. When I started playing volleyball I was definitely more hinata everything I thought of was volleyball but as I got older and life got in the way I definitely became more like tukki just playing because it was something to do and I knew I would never be the best on the court which lead to me quitting.
