All I can say is this is so damn good!!!Way too much to type so most of my thoughts are at the end of the episode.Sitting here contemplating him dying on day 1... as WELL as Mio, assuming her shadow would have replaced her? But his respawn somehow resets that. Our guy has a form of Reading Steiner after the resets. Very happy this was voted on. 👏

Glad you're enjoying this so much so far. Its a killer show imo, and not really talked about enough I feel like, so will be great to see your reactions and hopefully have some discussions about it in the community 🙂 I also really enjoying the OP and ending of this show, I'm sure they're probably nothing that special musically, but nice vibe

Now we knlw we he moved to Tokyo, probably hard living in an island beach town when you can't swim lmao. He never thought to learn???

In the first episode there was like a very short flashback of Shinpei and Ushio as kids and Shinpei had regular coloured eyes then. Also the real imagery in the ED is the actual island the story takes place on, its a real place you can go and visit (I'm pretty sure the real island is uninhabited though).

Yeah sadly I think this went under the radar because it streamed on Disney/Hulu I think? So people weren't interested in checking out. That said yeah, fire series! Never finished the anime but the manga was killer so I'm hyped for more!

I like how Mio shadow killed the cop near to like 5 houses in which light are on lmao

Bjorn Knudson

That makes sense. I watched it long after it came out, and wondered why I'd never heard of it or had it reccomended to me sooner

Yep, that generally happens with a lot of shows that goes under the radar since they aren't on the mainstreamed anime platform. iirc, it was basically on Disney+ jail for quite a while and then added to Hulu like 8-9 months after its release internationally. Like Call of the Night for instance I would say is quite under the radar too because it was a HiDive exclusive show, which made it hard for a lot of people to watch it or give it a chance.

I think instead of Reading Steiner his power is more closer to "Return by Death" from Re:Zero lmaoaoao

Shadow Mio: "This ain't America" shots fired pew pew pew what a savage

The second time he died, he spawned from a different place, maybe each time he dies, he gets less time next time

H. H

Maybe the blue eyes others can't see and it's some kinda power of his?
