I think we got one of the coolest origin stories to date and then... also.. LMAOone of the most messed-up continual rebirth stories! Just a wild ride of lore. What a nice touch of gore with the whale story and the use of the harpoon 🤘🔥Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeesssshhhhhhhh! We about to get some trauma in the next episode.

Making a body copy and transfering all your memories into the new body is also how Rick Shanchez essentially remains immortal.

Man, they killed Ushio again. They Kenny'd her ass. I bet Shinpei is going to regret wanting to talk to Shide first. Although we've now established that killing him wouldn't have worked anyway. I have two theories on why there were two of them. One is that he had already had another kid who had grown to adulthood, and both the father and son had his memories/personality. This is hard to believe though, as even if they look the same, there should have been a visible difference in age. The other is that for the current clone generation, Haine just happened to have twins, and copied the father's personality to both of them.

18:14 , me lovingly sneaking up behind my cat to give it surprise pets and scratches. Just a soft reminder for Tony. At this time, this episode hasn't been added to the collection yet.

The FF7 mention doesnt feel random to me. The whole thing about Hiruko being an alien creature crashing down on earth and being mistaken for a goddess is very similar to Jenova from Final Fantasy 7, with Shide being Sephirot. The story writer was probably inspired by the game. (Also Merry Christmas everybody!)
