LET'S GOOO, you've witnessed Tsukishima's moment! This show never fails to get me hyped!

SKAOG

15:39 and Tsukishima's theme begins (Moonrise by Asami Tachibana (a reference to Tsukishima's name refering to the moon))

A block does not count as a touch, this only applies to 4 or 6 person teams, in doubles it counts as a touch no matter what. There are some edge cases where a ball bouncing between players during the block could count as a hit, but only during special circumstances. Generally blocking =! hit

SKAOG

17:44 The OST is "Vigilant Hostility" by Yuki Hayashi

SKAOG

18:30 The OST is "Back in Action" by Yuki Hayashi

Sakeef Salman

One of best payoffs a series has ever given us. Straight catharsis

20:54 21:40 The OST that plays here is "The Halo Around the Moon" by Asami Tachibana (yet another reference to Tsukishima's name)

SKAOG

and this might be the first time you've applauded him (fully deserves it as well)

I really appreciate the the work you do with listing the songs in these episodes. One of the benefits of watching an older anime is that the songs are already released, so I can easily add them to my playlist. Watching anime weekly, however, it was so painful waiting for JJK's S2 ost to release after hearing the "Red Scale" track... I imagine it'll be the same for me with the S3 ost lol

🥽❤️ since season 1 and your first Detlef comment, we patiently waited for this moment. Is he an asshole…. Yes, but he’s our asshole

Bill Bob

20:08 Should of gotten tony to voice ushiwaka in the dub lmao

Arsenic805

I binged this entire season in a day, and that tsukki moment made me tear up when I first saw it. He finally found the passion and joy everyone but him was feeling for so long. His character development is among my favorites of all time

LETSSSSSSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! WE ARE HERE!!!

Isaac Noël

"they were amazing, and then one of them got tired" really made me laugh for some reason. Maybe I'm remembering my years of high school sports lol for real games ended because folks got too tired!

Sprucefer

By the way "Detlef's" block put them up 2 and won the set for Karasuno so it is tied 1-1 now. It seemed like you might have missed that at that end.

I've been waiting for this episode! My favorite thing about this anime is that it feels like each character is given a moment to shine. My first time watching this I never would've expected that I'd be rooting for Tsukishima in his corner but MAN that celebratory shout is unlike anything we've ever heard from him.

ruthyrooo

I crack up every time Ushiwaka says “Gather them to me.” Like bro what do you mean gather them to me, are they sheep? You sound like you’re doing the sermon on the mount lol

ruthyrooo

I just remembered that’s not the first time he’s channeled Jesus vibes, at the beginning of the second season he literally spreads his hands and starts talking about how good volleyball players come from fertile soil lmao

mojhito5

LETS GO TSUKKIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!! LA PASIÓN!!!!!!

Unbeknownst Man

This season always blows by super fast, having less episodes doesn't help either, of course. After Haikyu!!, it might be an interesting transition to watch Slam Dunk. It would be like watching a peak sports anime and afterwards watching the series that revolutionized sports anime for decades to come and kicked it into high-gear (especially with the school/"slice of life" setting included, but 80s/90s flavoured).
