Haha, and the real life repurcussions of chatting up multiple people start to roll in"I'm not mad" lul, we've all been there. Glad we got some clarity on his past with "friends" and a bit more info on what really happened to the og transmitter with Akira. All my thoughts at the end

Man after season 2 I forgot how weirdly chill both of them were about finding out vampires exist lol. Real oddballs from the jump I guess. Also you're right, Kou didn't drop out, he just stopped going. I don't know how schools actually function over there but I've seen this in quite a few anime. Maybe it's a thing that they don't really follow up with the student when they stop coming for some reason, which is concerning. I'm pretty sure high school is optional as well.

well even before that like... a welfare check up? Just an oddly loose education system it seems.

Mandatory education ends at 15 (9th grade) in Japan. High school is elective, and is basically pre-college. You have to study, get good pre-exam scores, and be admitted to higher end schools. So dropping out of middle school 8th grade would be like dropping out at 12th grade in the states, kinda It’s not usual, but Japan does have a massive NEET problem so I’m sure most teens reading this feel validated by the character feeling that way

Yep, I requested that song around mid December
