I can't believe we have one episode left. This has been a great journey of storytelling. WOW, there were some intense moments in this 👀If you're watching for the first time, I won't be mentioning anything in this video description. The scene on the street was too good to possibly give spoilers. All my thoughts are at the end of the episode. Can't wait for tomorrow's final EP

In the least eloquent way to put it (cause i could write an essay on the symbolism and writing of just this scene alone), Wim's dad was saying he saw the antichrist. Which, put int a single sentence is kind of funny.

“Tragic” imo defines the entire story of Monster

The alcoholic saying he saw a monster with 10 horns and seven heads is a reference to the very first scene in episode 1

The overall arc of this story is amazing. The roles of the characters and the decisions they make and how all the details unfold unto our end result are the fundamentals of what make this story so captivating. However... if I can offer some criticism... there are some scenes with shallow or just lackluster dialog writing. Those moments end up feeling like a Soap Opera to me. One example being the con man that would try and fake falling down in the road. The pacing has remained fairly consistent throughout all of this, and I wonder if dialogue was forced in some directions to elevate drama instead of doing what makes sense for the characters. Does it make it unwatchable? Generally no, but it depends on the person watching. I still love this series, but I think back on how stellar the dialog writing was for a series like Orb and I long for it a bit here. I would still recommend Monster to people who could vibe with it.

Impressive that you remembered that from 71 episodes ago I would have never known

Show definitely is about 15 episodes too long, it feels bloated. I don't mean just cut the last 15, just cut down some of the filler parts
