This show has definitely given us a crescendo of quality here at the end of season 1. 100% interested in going on into season 2 after the next episode. Super curious about the detective. More than meets the eye. All my thoughts are at the end of the ep.

The only way I can reconcile all the random women hitting on him is that they all need something from him. Detective lady is clearly looking to use him to get to the vanpires somehow, the vampires wanna eat him, etc etc. Some of it you just gotta chalk up to this being a male fantasy in a magazine for 14 yr Olds tho lol. Detective to me feels like shes meant to seem threatening and predatory on purpose tho. Haven't seen 2nd season tho. I agree that there's too much of that weirdness in anime.

Shucks

Definitely, but like you say its at least its not genuine in this one.
