Wow! What an episode! This is my favorite anime we are watching on Patreon right now, and it's interesting because Monster was my favorite before this. So the tier 3 folk are doing work with bringing quality! After hearing the insight of the 7th division one can't help but be a bit torn... I mean it makes 100% WHY they want the gold. It is a lot more clear what Tsurumi wants to do if he is being legit and not lying. All that aside... holy $hit Retar! I was worried for a hot minute becuse that would have legit pissed me off if it went in a different direction.

"Tsurumi" is a toughie cause it starts with a T and S next to each other which is very rare in english. The best example we have in english is "Tsunami" which is also a Japanese word. Basically you can just ignore the first T when you say Tsurumi, just like in Tsunami (for simplicity's sake)

I don't know how much spanish/italian pronunciation you know Tony, but japanese names, when written in english letters like in subtitles, generally follow those same phonetics. There are a few minor things like the Ts in Tsurumi that might throw you off but generally just think of it like that. In this show specifically though, there a lot of Ainu words and spellings like Kamuy and Asirpa that do not follow those common rules as intuitively so just be aware of that in the mix

Or if it's easier in your brain just imagine it's a japanese car brand when you wanna say it. Toyota, Honda, Subaru ... Sugimoto, Shiraishi, Ushiyama

LOL I am good to go reading Spanish.. Japanese is nothing like that bro!! When these characters say their names, they sound nothing like what is written on the screen The true accent is very difficult.

I swear by what I said, just next anything anime you watch just give it a shot even in your head. This is how I learned and it gets you pretty much spot on for 90% of pronunciation. The reason it sounds different when they say it is a combination of accent and saying it faster. Native speakers sound like native speakers because they blend syllables together naturally, which is why they can always tell when you're not native even if you pronounce things technically correct

Or maybe I'm talking out of my ass, but hey it might work for you too
