Okkkkkk, I am glad we got the resolve we did because I was def starting to question this series. 🤔This should be a lot more interesting now that we have sound foundations and acknowledgment from the masses. We kinda had a John Cusack moment from the movie Say Anything out front of the school...

LOL this episode is a perfect example of "don't think too hard about the science nonsense". It's the one thing I find annoying about the show, it tries to turn the supernaturall extended metaphor about someone's feelings into the most long-winded nonsensical science explanations

Yeahhhhhhh, it was weird to not know how much I was supposed to buy in vs just taking at face value

This show is based on a novel, not a comic like most are. You can tell when a show is based on a novel because everyone talks too fucking much lol

It might be better to embrace your inner romantic (in multiple senses of the word) for this one…

Watching this makes me realized we haven't do Your Name yet Probably the best modern anime movie in the past 10 years

I think this show is a lot more enjoyable if you just somewhat ignore the mechanical explanations for all the supernatural stuff (because they're all a bit nonsensical and aren't really necessary to understand the emotional side of the story anyway) and just treat it as a narrative tool for driving the character drama, which is where the series actually shines. Regardless of the attempts to make things sound vaguely scientific, this is really more of a "magical realism" type of story.

That is likely the better way to go...BUT like.. .lmao, you cant really blame me? They are the ones giving me, the viewer, a huge focus on it. It's all its really been so it is only natural to ponder into their content. That is just how I watch shows but I def agree its likely better to ignore. Ill struggle with it if it continues

Tan11

No, I can't entirely blame you, lol. It's definitely the show's biggest flaw for me. Just a fair warning that getting too wrapped up in the minutia of that aspect is a bit of a trap with this one.

Shucks

They insert it and poorly explain misinterpretations of actual quantum theories. Its off putting for sure, cool in concept
