Holy OST... wowThe horn used in this one spawned a tangent Tony about instrument use and how that shapes our sound expectation within media. Pretty fun to think about. Evan Call does great work and the oboe and symphonic moments here were awesome! LOL the episode itself was also killer as this fight we are getting staged into is going to be thick. Looks super dangerous, but I feel like we will prevail.. but maybe that is what they want us to think.

Doki Doki is meant to represent the sound of a heartbeat, an onomatopoeia, for situations of nervousness, excitement, anxiety, etc. For moments where your heart beats faster.

Tony asked about doki doki, but what the character actually said when he asked was toki doki. Toki means time, so saying it twice means from time to time. It's toki doki instead of toki toki because the first part of the second word often changes when repeating the same word twice.

i didn't notice it right away when i watched, but go back to the scene where the young demon comes in and says how many humans there are. Right after that Revolte says he has a bad feeling. Subtle here but the story is always showing us how cagy Frieren is

The music very much reminds me of the LoTR soundtrack in a lot of respects.

The discussion about the demons' thought process is fun because there was a hint at the next major arc's demon when Revolte mentioned he heard about a demon that was studying humans. Fun little teaser.
