Damn... we got sad, more sad, and then really sad. Sheesh, voice acting was 11/10 from RubyDon't tell me, but there better be a revenge payout for the worst mother of all timeMy god... LOL we got a few reveals in this episode. Pretty fun writing for keeping the intrigue going all this time. OG management back in the house, whattttt!? LOL what a scene that was. So many things still need to happen. How long do we have to wait for the next season?

Next season is confirmed to be the final season. Cannot wait 🔥

The OST that played during the Aqua and Ruby scene is a remixed version of the OST that played during Ai’s death scene. Also the after credits scene is the same after credits scene that played all the way back in episode 1 of season 1 but slightly extended a bit. The next season has been confirmed to be the final season and will probably release sometime next year. Great season though I think I slightly prefer season 2 manly cause the theatre arc was so strong but this season had a lot of good moments as well.

I think the coolest part was how they very smoothly contrasted Ruby's original mom choosing to lie about loving her against Ai's love for her. If you remember, leading up to Ai's death, they told this backstory about how Ai hadn't told them that she loved them all this time because she was terrified that once she said it she'd discover that it was a lie. Then, as she was dying, she told them she loved them and then said "I'm so relieved, those words definitely weren't a lie". Meanwhile, in this episode when remembering her first mom telling her she loved her, Ruby says to herself "Those words definitely weren't a lie".

Great soundtrack as usual, really felt it enhanced the dramatic/sad points in this episode well! I also appreciated the comparison with the rpg video game and turn based combat visuals in Miyako's backstory.

I loved this season and tbh the part with Ruby having a little crush on Aqua didnt bother me as much as some other people, but this depends on where they take it from here (no spoilers please, obviously). My only complaint about the finale would be, that this weird/funny part felt a little out of place after that emotional reunion. I think showing us the Miyako + Ichigo part first and then ending the season with Aqua and Ruby finding out about their past identities would have left an even stronger impression. Still a really good episode.

I do not blame the mom, she just broke down. I cant imagine the headspace of a person in that situation. I choose to enjoy instead how good the doctor treated her. I don't want a revenge pay-out, I want Ruby to find closure.

Wild comment tbh. You are definitely in a very small minority of people that would think that a parent, especially a MOTHER, would abandon their kid to rot in pain alone. Head space scmhedspace. That's super cruel.

Cyther

From what we have seen, its easy to see it as cruel. Its obviously super sad to see it from the perspective of the child. Some people just aren't strong enough to deal with it, I would hope I am.

"Some people just aren't strong enough to deal with it, I would hope I am." I meant the parent experiencing this. Not the viewer... Its a heavy topic. Its not something social media is particularly good at conveying a message across. Its probably best to leave it.

I knew what you meant. I just don't agree on the concept, at all. It's insanely rare to find a woman who has given birth IRL that wouldn't give their life for their child's life. The motherhood bond is something...you can't really put into words. Go ask any biological woman who has created life. This mother character in the anime, as presented, is extremely imhumane. "She just broke down" She didn't even stick anything out to come anywhere close to breaking down. The strength of women is huge. This one is just cruel.

The "Fate" girl probably reminds you of Haine from summertime rendering. Both red eyed and silver haired, with an air of diety to them.

If you wish I can explain my point. I wouldn't expect you to agree with it but it would be nice if I could get you to feel it was reasonable. I am a bit hesitant however to go into depth on such a serious topic in a comment section which is generally quite light hearted. I'll leave it upto you.
