I was hoping to hear either an OP or an ED 🎶 👀Not the case this time around, so hopefully in episode 2, we get both. Good start so far. Quite predictable, but that is not an issue. I was actually happy that they moved right into the conflict rather than giving us 3 episodes of backstory before jumping in. According to Google AI - here is some info on the composer for the animeThe composer for the Witch Hat Atelier anime (scheduled for 2026) is Yuka Kitamura. Known for her work on Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne, Kitamura is creating the soundtrack for the anime adaptation produced by BUG FILMS. She is an independent composer as of 2023, marking this as a major project.Looking forward to hearing more of her music and seeing where the story goes.

For once i'm as blind as you on an anime so here we go! This was a series I never started but was always on my to read list.

JoeyGuy7

Wait really this is by Yuka Kitamura???? Probably my fav game composer ever, wow

Jet Man

Magic Gojo? Does that mean we might get a magic Moneybags?

Critz

Pretty cool introduction to the series. I love the visuals. And btw, I didn't see any lag at all on your recording, so it seems to be fixed, which is really awesome 🔥

Rei

there is actually the OP and ED, but you need to watch the 2nd episode first, and yes it's out, so you're already 1 week behind on the scheduling lmao

Rei

on a side note, I absolutely love this series, hope you will enjoy it as much as I do

Alamun

This is a rare case for me, where I'm watching a new anime having read the manga. It's very interesting hearing the voice of the witch who sold Coco the book and it being completely different from what I imagined 😂

Alamun

Regarding your question on how the kid bumping his head could knock over the carriage, maybe the magic on the floorboard makes it super light so the pegasi can fly with it. It still doesn't make much sense though, as it seems like a strong wind could blow it away in that case, like Coco's sheets constantly are 😛

Bunk

I think the kid was crawling under it and bumping his head caused it to scuff up the runes and so whatever balance/levitation spell was on the floorboard failed, which then caused the carriage to fall.

Alamun

Oh, you mean the carriage is just always floating, and it crashed when the kid messed up the drawing? I feel like the carriage wouldn't need wheels if it was always floating though.

Loayza

The carriage only has two wheels in the front, so the back would definitely have to float.

I am def not late, but I didn't know there was a dual release today. The Witch Hat Atelier anime adaptation premieres on April 6, 2026. The series, produced by Bug Films, will release with a special two-episode premiere on Crunchyroll and other streaming platforms, featuring both subbed and dubbed versions. The original manga series by Kamome Shirahama began serialization in 2016. Crunchyroll Crunchyroll +5 Release Date: April 6, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. PT.

Rei

Ah no, what I meant was even though it aired today, because of the double release on the first week, you are behind from everyone by 1 episode, if you keep watching 1 episode/week that is

PlatypusPrince

We'll get both the opening and ending with episode 2 which is already out as they released the first two episodes at the same time. I've read the first two volumes of the manga years ago and the magic system is seriously amazing and cool can't wait for when they get more into it.

Cody

Was gonna say we got ravenclaw gojo over here😂

Cody

Is magic Gojo VA’d by Tanjiro?

Nguyen

Yeah. You can really tell when he starts yelling
