and in walks Olruggio. Bro sorta has that 🍵badda bing badda espresso line vibe to him 😀Great episode. OST design was a fun experience. So many uses of 3/4 & 6/8 time signatures in this anime. Yuka Kitamura gives us some really rich, low dynamic sound vibes. The depiction of magic is so cool in this. I loved seeing how Olruggio explained the design the light-up stepping stones that were the OG inspiration for Coco. Ideally, he keeps taking a liking to her, and her addition to the atelier becomes a bit smoother.

The Nintendo ds was a hand held you drew on with stylis. In fact pretty sure i played a game growin up that had you draw your spells to cast em.

For what you were saying about the magic at the end I believe the word you are looking for is tactile, like it is an actual craft you could learn. In fact there is a group of the fan base for this show that likes to theory craft their own spells drawing things like how they would make a vacuum amongst other things.

Drawn to Life was one such game on the Nintendo DS! You had to draw everything. So not specifically spells. But your accessories, weapons, equipment etc. Lost Magic was another game i vaguely recall. Oh but there was the game Eternal Darkness where you did have put together different runes and craft your own spells. There was the god that governed the type of spell, the verb that determined the type of spell and the noun that was the subject of the spell. The last rune was pargon which was used to power up the spell and you could have that one a number of times to continue to power the spell.

Olruggio's VA is the same as Satoru Gojou. Nakamura Yuuichi

He is also Badeni from Orb, Sein from Frieren, Kuro from Haikyuu and others

In Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for the DS, when you took a boss' HP down to 0, you had to draw a magic circle to seal and defeat them. If you messed up, they got a small amount of HP back, and you had to take them back down to 0 and try again. The symbols you had to draw got more complicated as you advanced in the game too.

damn, hearing Olruggio's dialogue with Qifrey after being caught up with the manga is something. Truly, the name Woke Homo Atelier fits perfectly 🥀

There's also a vr game where its basically 1v1 mage duel and you have to draw different spell symbols in the air to cast them. Another one called mage arena where you have to verbally cast all spells, that one's pretty fun

it's not out yet, but an indie game called The Magus Circle is about drawing spells with your mouse and stuff, it looks interesting but no release date is even known yet

Lost Magic is the name of the game. You would learn different sigils that cast different spells throughout the game, and draw them on the bottom screen to cast them on the top.
