wild screen tearing on this upload, your others today seem fine though. your camera's smooth, it's just the capture source that's choppy here. it works, though (can always just pull up the episode on our own ends lmao) how funny that this episode references the Shinsengumi and Hijikata while you're watching Golden Kamuy at the same time, and today's episode was very Hijikata-heavy lmao. just goes to show how ingrained some of those historical figures are in the cultural lexicon 18:24 as far as I'm aware, as long as you get the ball on the opponent's side of the table it's a legal return. i think any extra markings might just be for measurement/stat purposes, or maybe for doubles rulesets? (i.e. 2v2)

I believe for either the serve or the return, as long as it bounces on the other side, it's fine. Apparently serving only diagonally is a missconception (probably because of regular Tennis or Badminton). They usually serve diagonally because is just more optimal? They have more room for the serve, but they can mix it up. In Doubles they do have to serve diagonally tho.

I literally didn't even recognize Peco. I thought they were introducing a new character.

In singles, the ball can land anywhere. In doubles, the serve has to go across to the opposite quadrant. Every other shot can land anywhere. In both singles and doubles, on serves, it can't hit the net. If it hits the net and is otherwise valid, it's a re-serve. On any other shot, it is allowed to hit the net.

Also, FYI this reaction isn't in the Ping Pong collection.

Also, I got whiplash from Smile's change. Didn't he say he was going to quit? Why is he so motivated now?
