huh, ok. This was a bit of a departure. Some rather weak writing and storytelling on that backstory @ the end there...Season 2 has felt pretty strong, so this fork in the road felt a bit funky.Maybe it will course correct next week as we get into ep 9.

yeah season 2 the worst of the series by far in my opinion. story wise danmachi has good parts and very weak parts but the action never fails to entertain me. Still love this show peak guilty pleasure watch.

Fr, I literally only remember season 2 for the war game against Apollo. Season 3 is pretty good and it'll bring up a dilemma Tony will probably like a lot as a dnd fan, but s4 is absolute peak

idk why but Tony laughing at Bell getting the wind knocked out of him took me out. That was super funny. Don't worry Tony. We all hated that toad. We all needed therapy.

I don't know if it was apparent with her describing during the backstory, but she doesn't really hate Haruhime, she's been going out of her way the whole time to help her and even shattered the first killing stone that she would've been sacrificed for to try and save her, but she ultimately was discovered, brutally punished, and now is forced to obey her goddess's plan the second time around She is playing the villain and trying to bait Bell into trying to save Haruhime, but when it fails she calls him out for being too much of a coward to be her savior. She really does care for Haruhime hence the gentle headpat slap at the end and then her smiling at her, as well as the candy at the beginning.
