My heart will choose to believe she did merge with the planet. Certainly plausible a machine probed the dead body's mind to communicate. But if the machine learned on its own, it would mean it has a natural intelligence instead of an artificial intelligence. Sad that this is one of the lesser loved episodes of LDR, at least for S3. Maybe since it's not full of gore and comedy. Next episode should be interesting. For a lot of people, it's their absolute favorite.
