I'm not mad or anything. Just giving some feedback, bc the last two days I have gotten comments that are taking up active brain space during my watching experience... that should not be taking up space. Just want to make sure we are careful from here on out so I get as good a viewing experience as you all did on your first watch. Thanks!

Bro, I feel your frustration so much. Every time I finish an episode reaction, I'm just thinking "I hope no one spoils anything", because the show is just that good. If it were some other normal show, I probably wouldn't be thinking about it as much. But this is QUALITY. I hope you stop getting spoiled from now on and get to have a clean experience watching it.

The thing is, if you miss a peace of information, the good thing is, its even more suprising when the flashback happens. This feeling of: "What that happend 100 episodes ago" is gone. So its a lose lose in every situation.

Yeah it's a bummer. I've already seen a few comments that spoil stuff pretty blatantly, nothing massive, but things that definitely didn't need to be pointed out. It's tough because calling it out just draws attention to it, so as a viewer you just gotta hope it goes unnoticed.

You didn't know an OP was a spoiler until somebody mentions it, otherwise it would just be some flashy images so agreed. How can someone know of spoiler if it does not know WHAT is the spoiler 🫪🗿 Haven't watched HxH tho, so I still don't know about what they saying but now I know kinda🥸

Damn, does this mean jjk didnt catch your attention 😫. Jkjkjk that shit was hard to keep up with 🤣 the Manga is equally, if not more confusing

JoeyGuy7

It spoils shit for the viewers too! I paused my firsr watch of the show when you started it so I could watch along, and that killua comment spoiled for me too!

JoeyGuy7

Also one thing I've noticed in this show is that since it's written well, there's not usually a lot of stuff you can "miss", unlike in jjk where the narrator bombards you with 100 new made up rules every episode lol. So if something isn't clear, it's not clear on purpose and will get cleared up in another episode or so. So no need to overexplain stuff in the comments and accidentally spoil stuff.

This absolutely though. Like if you have no context how are you supposed to distinguish whats juat flashy and whats a spoiler until someone is like WOAH SPOILER.

As for the upcoming opening where somebody mentioned “don’t look at the visuals,” I honestly wouldn’t worry about it. The opening is part of the normal viewing experience, and I’d actually encourage you to watch it if you want to. The animation studio intentionally puts those characters and visuals in the opening knowing that most viewers won’t have any context for them yet. You don’t know who these people are, what their role is, or even whether they’re major or minor characters. And when you eventually encounter one of them in the show, you'll probably go “Oh, so HE’S the one from the opening!” I think that’s part of the appeal. IMO, the actual spoiler would be someone giving you context about one of those characters before you’ve encountered them. For example, if someone told you who they are, what they do, or why they’re important, that’d for sure be a spoiler. Just seeing an unknown character in an opening doesn’t give you that context. So I just want you to know that I wouldn’t think twice about looking at the opening. You could say that the comment technically spoiled the fact that some future characters will appear in it, which is kind of a bummer. But you still don’t know who they are or what their role is, so I wouldn’t think too much about it. I’d just watch the opening and enjoy it.

Funniest thing is I've seen the next part, and I just watched the 2nd OP and there's not even any spoilers. like *gasp* they're gonna go to a different place than before, and oh my god you're not gonna believe it, theres gonna be new characters there. No shit lol

JoeyGuy7

All good, I was a little guilty too when I talked about just my personal opinion of future bits. Even stuff like that colors people's perception so best to keep it out.

ZombieWolf2508

i'll never understand the impulsive need people have to explain something or give details to somebody who is watching or reading something for the first time that they aren't meant to have yet that get explained later on anyway

romai

HOLY that spoiler... C'MON PEOPLE... WhY!?! why spoil...

remember the golden rule of joining someone for a first time viewing: "if it hasn't happened yet, shut the hell up"

I just want to elaborate on my comment relative to the openings.. concern wise it was relative to this author of theadapted work, Togashi, and his tendency to be extremely deliberate as you can already tell, and that i imagine extends to his character introductions - and to be clear it was not specifically flagging down the next intro, rather all of them. For someone as engaged as you that may want that lack in your experience as opposed to the appearances the anime studio inserted, I figured it would be best to extend that warning simply because hindsight is not an option and as the other commenter said in the previous episodes thread there’s many people who in hindsight wished they hadn’t seen them, and that’s where it’s coming from. Ultimately pulling your focus to them when they were previously easy for you to ignore is my fault - apologies and I hear you entirely

Jeff

Imagine spoiling it on a react channel
