I think you have to rewatch all jojo in all dub + a special dub with character's native language (French for Polnareff, arabic for Avdol...) More seriously, I rewatch Jojo with you for years now and in sad because it end today but I'm happy for doing it with you. I will be here for SBR

I joined the patreon for jojos back near the beginning. It's going to be odd with no Jojo Fridays. I dip in and out of some reactions but this has always been the foundation for me. Very much looking forward to part 7! I personally haven't read the manga and I'm sure a fair amount of others haven't either so we'll all be right there together haha

Been here since ep 1, what a wild ride even though this is my 3rd time rewatching it, the ending never stops me from shedding a tear or two xd Thank you for watching Jojo and it's been an honor to watch along with you for so many years now. I remember when we first started, I was in 2nd year of my uni xd and I'm doing my masters rn in a different country. It's wild how much has happened these past few years and how nice it was to wait for the best day of the week everyweek since then! Again, thanks for deciding to watch it, i think this anime, characters and the music all have a special place in people's hearts! Can't wait for Steel Ball Run. I have not read the manga so I am really excited to experience this next one together hahah!

The more I think about the ending to Stone Ocean, the more I like it. I mean just the absolute balls it takes for an author to end not just their story arc, but the entire 6 part saga they'd been building for over a decade like this is wild. It's somewhat controversial, but Emporio being the one to defeat the final antagonist is such a great way to cap it off imo. Pucci spends his entire life trying to do what he thinks is best for those around him without once considering that his need for control is what ultimately drives others to their worst fates (like with his sister and weather). He rationalizes instead that, with proper information, people could avoid or find peace with even the most unfortunate circumstances. In this part, the piece of information he trusts most is that the Joestar bloodline is his final fated enemy. Emporio, meanwhile, is just a pebble that he (and they) managed to kick down the road a bit further. Ultimately though, Pucci didn't lose to an actual Joestar, he lost to a child who inherited their strong will to stand and fight against the fate he sought to preside over. It's funny too, that he lost to the one thing not even fate can fully predict--the weather (report). A bit about the manga itself, but at the point in time where Araki finished this part (~2003), he actually faced some pretty gnarly creative burnout, feeling that he had reached the peak of his creative potential. This isn't stated in the manga itself to my knowledge, but the next part "Steel Ball Run" is completely unconnected to the stories / universes from parts 1-6. It is not part of the "new" universe Emporio made, and this is effectively the end of the original JoJo storyline. In fact, when Steel Ball Run started airing, it was just called "Steel Ball Run," with the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure moniker being added later on. It is JoJo part 7, but it's also its own new thing if that makes sense. This change, along with the move to a monthly release schedule, let Araki explore the ideas he's already established (powers, stands, etc.) without the baggage of the previous narrative constraints. Steel Ball Run is also really, really good, so I'm sure you're gonna have a great time when it starts airing proper! And sorry for the ramble lmao.

In terms of JoJo finales, this one still feels like the best one to me. Pucchi being the antagonist is a main reason for it. None of the other JoJo villians quite had this feel of doing the right thing. Yet he honestly felt he was doing things for the greater good. As someone already said, this is more of a symbolic ending to the universe as the next part is a reimagined JoJo experience so the author could explore more creative ideas. Still, I can't help but think about where all the other JoJo characters not present in Part 6 ended up when the loop got back to this point in time. Did Giorno from part 5 experience things differently because he had an awakened stand? Did Diavolo remain in his endless death cycle? Did Kars from part 2 remain floating in space with the knowledge that he gets encased in stone? Why didn't Pucchi stop time in the loop where he met Dio to team up? The questions are endless now that we know of this loop. But it all remains speculative. Also, if you do indeed rewatch in Dub, even just an upload of episode 1 here might be fun.

It can be argued that Pucci bringing humanity to a certain level of omnipotence would have been a net positive for humanity. In this new universe Dio's existence gets erased because Pucci died and thus why everybody meets each other under similar circumstances. I like JoJo a lot. Amazing music, insane powers, unique art style and funny af! People say part 7 is Araki's magnum opus, so I have high expectations. Thanks for the reactions Tony, been subbed for the best part of 2 years We can maybe watch the JOJO OVAs in the meantime?😅

india originally and I’m doing my masters in Korea rn, you have people watching from the other side of the planet xd hahah

I’ll be visiting Japan soon and there’s a Jojo themed Ramen place I’m planning on going to xD I’ll be sending it on the discord server if I go there!

Yes, there are other spin off's. There's a live action OVA of Diamond is Unbreakable. I liked it with how they only covered so many episodes before they didn't continue doing the live action jojo stuff. There's also the original OVA's of Stardust Crusader's! Aired in 1993/94 and again in 2000-2002. The animation is superb! DIO is fucking menace. You should check them out. I believe they're on Youtube! There's also Thus Spoke of Kishibe Rohan. It's in the same David Production animation, but the episodes are out of order (on purpose) They're kinda self contained episodes. I hope you react to those while Steel Ball Run comes out fully!

U should play one of the games theyre cool but careful cuz there are spoilers for part 7 in them 😅

DIOs existence isn’t erased. Parts 1-5 are mostly unchanged (even in the ending you can see that every part is the same except stone ocean that has the ireneverse)
