and just like that, we start a new segment with some amazing action! Special K is a very mad person. Takehito Koyasu is in my ears AGAIN! LOL This dude has so many VA gigs, amazing! He really sounds like what that guy looks like (in my head at least)

Kurapika’s backstory is that he’s the last surviving member of the Kurta clan after they were all killed by the Phantom Troupe. They were killed for their glowing red eyes which are now all over the black market.

Lucipurr

Yeah, it was mentioned when special K was talking to leorio during their hunter exam

You would be surprised how many of the VA's you hear are in lot of things you already watched. It's just that guys like Takehito Koyasu, not only are in so many things, they are also really recognizable lol. While other can be so different between different characters. Megumi Han, the VA of Gon for example, is also Kana Arima (the redhead girl) from Oshi no Ko.

I'm not %100 sure, but I think he's saying to just buy a sword instead of conjuring one because it takes alot of time and training to learn how to summon different things, so it's better to use that time learning to summon something that doesn't exist or isn't readily available. You can come up with any crazy magical idea for things to summon, it's basically up to the users imagination

Lixien

You can assume that most male children or teenagers with high pitched voices have a female VA! Only exceptions are characters like Hinata Shoyo from Haikyuu! where the guy VA has an unusual natural High Pitched voice already. Gon, Killua and Kurapika all have female VA's It makes sense, finding children or teenager VA's with experience is harder and adult men can't do it so it's mostly women.

Tocs The Wanderer

I know for sure he'll recognize the VA for another character that's gonna show up soon

Lixien

Oh yeah, lmao. Big Boy.

😔 Dang. If his abilities had developed different, we could have started referring to Special K as Specialist K.

Lucipurr

I see what you did there....

I wonder. What kind of Nen teacher you would be if you played a live action Nen teacher? Would you do it the same as band? Would you fast track students? I know these questions are probably a little premature to ask since you haven't got into how serious Nen can be. You should get that shock next week. Imagine releasing a student and they run into the 💩 that's about to happen in York New. 😬🤣

Walt D

That is what he is saying. When we get to the brutal Nen battles across the entire series, there isn't time for that, you would die. Remember Hisoka's battles with the enhancer who spent too much time with another ability? It is similar to that. No regular conjured sword is going to be someone like Hisoka. More imaginative things are needed. You should see Special K's imaginative resolve tomorrow. I think.

💯🔥

Yea, Koyasu's voice is really recognizable. He also seems to voice a lot of villains or oddballs (Roswal). Kenjiro Tsuda (Nanami from JJK) and Akira Ishida (Xellos from Slayers) are also usually fairly recognizable. All three of these guys have been VA for a loong time. Megumi Ogata (Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho) was another VA that I could usually pick out.

Kurapika became a hunter to avenge his clan, the Kurta. The Phantom Troupe killed his entire clan and stole their eyes to sell on the black market. The item his employer wants to find are Kurta eyes.

The song at 11:55 is Kurapika’s main theme forward

In the 1999 series Kurapika learning Nen is way more moody and atmospheric then depicted in this version. They also spend more time on it and have Melody and Kurapika meet on a train before getting to the mansion, which is why she appears in the clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIqCot6xiSA Don’t worry there’s nothing here that spoils anything from later events.

Bran

Bro was that chill out quote from the movie True lies with the dobermans LOL. That got me good.
