One of my favorite episodes so far! The fact that we have a character hunting for a musical score is just killer!Had to have yap session about what a score really is and how a conductor uses it, so that was super fun for me. I said I would include some images of what it looks like irlHere is a smaller example

You can see the instrument names on the leftI am sure you are wondering wtf a Fagotti is 😆That would be a bassoonNotice in this example timpani (which is percussion) is in the middle of the scoreHere is another example of a larger ensemble

Significantly more to keep track of!

Impressive description. I can't wait to watch.

Big Papi

This is info I would never have gotten on my own. I love this damn show

When I was in band in Highschool, whenever I caught a glimpse of the score for symphonic band it would boggle my mind on how the conductor keeps track of all of that while we play the piece. Is it more of a listening for irregularities singling out what instrument it was and following along that particular instrument? In a rehearsal setting. Also do you, as a conductor, mark up the score with notes similar to how players notate on their pieces of sheet music? For different conducting cues Got to the part of the video where you answer my questions! Thank you, Sir!

You reviewed a certain piece of music from this anime a long while ago. You called it the most unique song you've heard in anime. That review was great and I'm really excited to see you on the journey towards that song. Meanwhile, I will enjoy the little detours to the fullest.

Trowa

Me having to put my glasses on to see if i can read music anymore. (I have forgotten much indeed).

Jet Man

A quest to destroy a musical score from a demon or devil is 100% the backstory for the Bard in your DnD party.

One fun part of this arc to pay attention to is all of the slightly differently named locations and names from the original. Yorknew is obvious New York City, with the 2 words York and New flipped, last episode we got Lingon airport instead of Lincoln, and now we have Southern Piece auction house as opposed to Sotherbe’s auction house. I think there are more, but those are the ones I remember from this arc.

1999 lover here. I'm really glad we arrived at the Yorknew Arc, it is my favorite (and way better in the 1999 version of course LOL) I wanna take this opportunity to show you the yorknew opening of the 1999 version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLrnedpplBk The video is a lyrics video so no background opening there, 100% spoiler free. This song really reminds me of Nirvana. Would you say this song is also Grunge, Tony?

Bautista

There always has to be that one guy 🤦‍♂️

@Bautista, it's cool. I asked about 1999, this person gives me clips to check out often

Shizuka was introduced as a member of the phantom troupe last episode. It was only brief though, you may have been looking away when it happened.

I wonder if Senritsu (Melody) had a more conventionally attractive appearance before she heard the devil's sonata, or if it was just her arm that changed. She said she wants to restore her body, but doesn't clarify how much of her body was changed

Tocs The Wanderer

I love this episode too, it does such a good job of building tension for what comes next. I can hardly wait for next week.

Jhon 1479

A few episodes ago you made a comment about melody "why they would draw her like that". it's not only her arms but also her face, teeth, etc.. its due to the dark sonata. So yeah the fact she looks weird has an explanation

Cody

Does the Sonata of Awakening crack top 5?

I haven't actually played DND but would something like you making an actual song as the DM and the players have to discover the notes to play it themselves to create some effect work? That sounds like it would be dope especially if it was an actually good song

Abdulla Al Hashmi

Hey Tony, you were wondering why the mangaka chose this “unique design” for Melody a few episodes back. I think its implied here that the curse changed Melody’s overall appearance and not only her arm.
