Let’s gooo!!!!

Trowa

Yoooo! I thought my phone notification was delayed from the last ep or something.

Fuji Nami

Way back in the day when i watched the 1999 version i was too snobbish to make it through the hunter exam arc so i dropped it but for some reason i came back and watched the yorknew arc and became a fan ever since. Ig the 2011 version is different but still I'm amazed you saw the potential in the hunter exam arc like how i didn't

Sk dragon

i was praying for a double episode LETSGOOOOOO!!!!

Critz

YES DOUBLE EPISODE 🔥🔥 🔥 It’s really unfortunate because I’m in Japan right now, so I gotta wait till after I come home to watch ur reactions, but it looks like you’re experiencing PEAK. I’m ready to binge ts when I’m back home!

Luca

LETSGOOOO

BlakStatik23

I’ve only made it like 2 or so episodes into the Greed island arc with my wife and she’s not as into anime as I am, this was months ago, so I’ll probably watch it along with you, that is unless there’s an episode I have to see the next one for before you upload it lmao

P_ateric

*10* indeed. They are killers and they have taken so much, yet we can relate to some reasons and emotions within them. That’s some good antagonist writing. To the next arc!

Luca

Thats the last time we hear this masterpiece of an ending sadly. 😔

David Butt

I really hope you check out Pakunoda’s death from the ova version, it’s one of the few scenes where I think the old version blows the 2011 version out of the water. The also extended the scene with Pakunoda and the cat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-M9he9Z8FM and here’s the clip of her death https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAJb1DXeWig This will probably be the last clip shared of the old version because the ova’s for the next arc are a huge step down from the 2011 version and there’s really nothing that the 2011 version doesn’t do better from here on out.

Walt D

Hisoka though. Special K did a Batman UNO reverse on the Joker. Lol.

Jet Man

Tony's comments at the end have me motivated to be creative today.

Bautista

Man I'm SOO glad you picked this show up. I watched this around 10 years ago and I've wanted rewatch it over the last few years but felt like I didn't have the time. 5 episodes a week is like the perfect iv drip feed of peak 😂. I think you'll have a lot of fun with the elements of the next arc

Hugo Abilleira

I'm so glad you chose to watch this anime. Its a all time best and everyone should watch it. This is the end of the Yorkshin (York-new but in japanese) Arc. But, before we move forward to greed island, here is my last link about the 1999 series, since the greed island arc is quite bad and badly drawn in the 1999 version, so I'm not sure I will post anymore about it. Here is Pakunoda's Death in the 1999 version, way more dramatic and loaded. I wanna specially mention the way Kurapika's nen/chains activate when she breaks the rule he imposed, causing her demise. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAJb1DXeWig

Jhon 1479

Every arc will feel like the best arc because they are so precisely built onto each other to elevate what comes next. That's Togashi's genius

Isaac Noël

this show has complexity coming out of its ears and i love it

romai

Let’s goooooo!!!

Kolaches

I swear you are the GOAT reactor 😭

Jace

Lots of alignments all around. Huge fan of this anime

Hugo Abilleira

1999's hunter exam is very slow paced. The highlights are awesome, but you gotta have that "I'm aware old animes are slow, so lets be patient" mindset. I still get amazed at the scene where Hanzo points his blade to Gon's forehead. You can see his determination so much better in the 1999 version.

Hugo Abilleira

We commented the same stuff and I only realized it now! LOL.

aidy

I was in Japan a week ago and I felt the same way. I binged like 10 eps in a day after coming back lol. Enjoy your trip!

Critz

Thanks bro. And nice, I hope you had a good trip!

FadedSkyes

I've been holding off on saying "feel free to do a double if you cant help but watch the next!" for so long. I figured you'd end up doing it eventually by the end of the series without asking, especially when its this good on a Friday!

Tocs The Wanderer

And now on to Greed Island! I've been waiting for this.
