To your question. At this point it is unclear how much time has passed but the comment from the dragon about a 100 years is because although the world is a representation of a game, it also has its own inner lore.

Ah yes, questions the episode lmao. As you can see when it went back to Ainz, season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off in the timeline. Cocytus is being sent off to war with the Lizard people and they have all been sentenced to death by that JJK looking monster. Now, the crazy lady and that guy with her are part of the Slane Theocracy, they basically say that some people ran into Shalltear and some were killed but the one who did the mind control got injured. The guy says that the crazy woman is stronger than Shalltear but he can’t determine whether Ainz is stronger than her. Without getting spoilery, they have a Rubik’s Cube for some reason and say that they were passed out by the Six Great Gods 600 years ago. I’ll let you think about that. The dragon and the old lady (Rigrit) are friends because they used to adventure together. When he was adventuring, he was controlling the suit of armor and hiding that he was a dragon so that’s why she says the armor was her friend. Now for that confusing flash of him in the armor fighting Shalltear, it seems during her mind control but BEFORE Ainz came to fight her, he came and they fought. Some event happened 100 years ago and they’re saying this one might not be working “with” the world, so basically saying it’s bad. He asks for information on high tier items and special items from The Game Yggdrasil. This tells us he knows about the game and is not ordinary. Since he’s telling her, then she knows about the game as well. Those are the biggest points of confusion for this episode and pretty much all I can explain. I know it’s a lot lmao I love the world building when you really get to understanding things and where they fit into the puzzle. I’ll say there are pieces the anime won’t tell you that you’ll have to infer for yourself and come to conclusions about.

There are a lot of moving parts with this show, not just between the different kingdoms but also between the different groups/factions/individuals and how Ainz and his crew interact with all of them. I'm still catching little things I missed during my previous viewings of this show and this is my 4th time watching S2.

The ending sounds familiar because you've watched so many isekai recently and they all use the same goddamn band for their OPs and EDs for some reason. They have some good songs, but they really all start to sound the same with how overproduced they are.
