Even as a first time watcher, I believe this is the most discussed arc in all of HxH. Just based on the information I got in this episode. Last time we saw ants this ugly I think we were on season 2 of Solo Leveling.

Yeah this part of HxH is part of why Solo leveling felt a little... repetitive or derivative especially for anyone who's seen HxH. In both there's a queen ant trying to give birth to a king ant as we just saw. Idk if this whole idea of ants is like something in Asian cultures or if it was a borrowed idea or both just came to it separately, idk which even came first tbh, I assume HxH, but either way it is an interesting shared topic to have

can't help but feel like the way people view that alt name is a thing that needs to be left to the past. the less people that bring it up in the first place talking about how funny they think it is, the better for all. We can dream of a world where one day someone watches the show gets to that part and its just a re-spelling of Ging's name and not the "joke" people want to make it out to be. I hope ive worded this mildly enough, but also gotten the point across.

Fun Fact Kite was actually introduced in chapter 1 of the manga, and in episode 1 of the 1999 version, and he was the one who let Gon know his dad was a Hunter and his master. If no one has said it already, the flashback of Kite saving Gon from the Foxbear is from the very first chapter of the manga/book series. was gonna mention the Dwun/ Author self insert but I see the comment that someone already pointed it out!

I understand the past thing. For some of us, it is an ongoing experience, with receipts. I personally can't leave things in the past that personally aren't. However, my context, for clarity, was more in the irony. I.e Isn't it crazy how some words from other cultures have similar looks but different meanings. A lighthearted fascination with linguistics rather than a crude joke in which some take it as. Uncle Ruckus did pop in my head as well. Such is life.

I was cruel to my brother too. He's in London right now, and we chat at least once a week. I'm spending my life trying to make it up to him, and I've apologised multiple times.
