Hey friends,

Last winter update! Because we will start posting updates on the 21st of April. We are quite excited with all the new people coming to the land and happy to see some people coming again from last season. 🎥 5️⃣❗️

But for now let's move on with this winter post. Actually not winter anymore. Spring turned weather from calm frosty January and February into a very stormy March. On top you can see the result of the last one. Fallen trees and also part of the recycled plastic roof flew away.

But temperature 🌡 is much better now and when it's sunny you can tell spring arrived to Kamp. ☀️

The mountains still got a lot of snow ☃️

And having the first orange ever grown in Kamp made us very proud. Very nice taste, juicy and without seeds (maybe because is a small tree). For now, only one we had, but didn’t expect it to be that good.🍊

With all the rain, the swales were quite full and Adrian decided he wanted to do some extreme jumping.

Started to set up and clean the kitchen. 🍲

Finally we made a good hunt with the wildlife camera 🦊

And we had quite some chopping last month 🪚 Some people from the municipality came to take trees under the electricity lines that cross the land. And we hired some local people to clean around the community center.

And as we also filmed some of this stuff, here you have a small video:

Ok, and now some data. In the previous winter post we showed you our income, but we didn't have ready our expenses graph 📊. Now we can present you both together.

💰 Our income in S4: 204.448 €

💸 Our expenses in S4: 145.612€

🌽 As you see our main expense is General running costs of the Kamp, this means food, gas bottles, diesel for the pickup, internet and things like toilet paper.

💪Then another big chunk goes to the team. Most people come as volunteers to Kamp but for the people taking more responsibility (actually 13 persons) we gave a small support.

🚜 The digger scam has been quite an earthquake in our books. The scammed made up to 10% of our yearly expenses (orange slice). Then we got a big support from the community, so we could afford a better one and set it up properly (13.4% green slice).

🏗 General infrastructure slice refers to any building expense that is not included in a specific project.

🛠 And for the rest they relate to different projects, like the fridge box or the granite ruin, or pods making Project Kamp function, like Video Making.

🏫 You can see also in the top the Community Center, yellow slice, which meant around a 4% of our expenses. Although you still can't see much progress, we've been working with architects, surveys and filing the project at the municipality, which is quite slow and expensive.

⚙️ And finally in other we have things like: unexpected expenses on the go, meetings out of Kamp, or random small purchases. For example a box of needles, wax for tents, postal stamps to send badges for Patreons, or the gasoline for people to evacuate when we had the fire alarm)

As you might have noticed we had around 60K € left that we didn't spend. We keep some money for running the Kamp while not publishing videos, to have a cash reserve in case we need it or to help fund big future projects like the Community Center.

And that was all for now. Hope you have a nice spring ☘️ (or autumn 🍁) start.

See you soon in the updates.
