What is it like to live as a monk in a Krishna temple? Mattia went to find out and made a research video for Project Kamp ☘️

Back in March, I (Mattia) got stuck in India. There I shared my first covid lockdown with two Krishna monks. In the four months we spent together I learnt a great deal about life as a monk in a temple. And the more I was learning about it, the more I was like "I need to make a video for Project Kamp, this could be so useful for many people that are thinking to start to live together".

This video is an in-depth interview with the two monks where you will learn what it means to be a monk, rules & hierarchies of the temple, tips on how to live together and, what was most interesting for me, a drastically different way of looking at life. Which to our 21st century's eye might seem a little absurd at times but that somehow seems to also work.

I spent countless hours and evenings cutting and editing this video. I am very curious to know what you patrons think about it ♥️  Let me know in the comments.

Very interesting@.@ - I believe that in the modern world it is possible otherwise- 4 me some most of the parts sound less ideals .. like hierarchy status , cancellation of the self ect ...

Thanks for sharing that, I found it very interesting how they have the structure. I'm glad I watched this!

Looks great, I need to continue watching the actual interview because it is more lengthy than a common One Army video, but you mentioned that in the video. Nice to see you accepted the problematic situation, learned from it and shared it with us!

One Army

Well, I think that a very idealistic life is translated into very simple rules. These rules keep the system running of course but, I now got to believe, they also help the human to live a more balanced and fulfilled life.

Hi Carlin, thanks. I am very glad you enjoyed it. I have learnt a lot in my time there and really wanted to share this knowledge with the whole One Army. Lots of learnings..

Yep, monks have a very unique way of talking full of analogies and references that made it difficult to cut it any shorter than that :) I know is long but I hope it is worth it. Let me know what you think once you're done watching it. M
