A team from Precious Plastic just arrived at the Sahrawi refugee camps in the middle of the Sahara desert to set up and establish a recycling project trying to help with plastic waste there.

We bring along a bunch of machines, systems, smiles and training material to set up a Precious Plastic workspace and help with the plastic issue. After a little hiccup at Algier airport where our photographer got taken all her gear, only to get it back a few days later, the team is now getting to work in this shiny green big space.

Let us know if you want to see more updates from this project. The team will be there for the next 3 weeks with plenty of updates and news from the ground. If you guys are into it give us a like or a comment and we'll make sure to keep you posted 💪

It’s fascinating how waste plastic is everywhere on this earth! Even a refugee camp in the Sahara!!! I commend all of you guys the entire team, what you are doing is great and wonderful 👍🏻👍🏻

You'd be surprised. It reaches the most remote places on this planet. From the artic to the Sahara. Excited to show you what we do with it :)

A lot of that stuff looks heavy. What's the temperature there? What are people's thoughts and reactions to the precious workspace?

Yes it's very hot. It's full Sahara desert! The refugees are loving it, especially the women :)
