Hey everyone :) Been a little silent lately, sorry about that. Let's wake up this place a little, shall we?

Last year we've been doing a bunch of Precious Plastic projects around the world. We're now working on videos, webpage (please don't share yet 🙃) and communication material to bring them to life and share them with the world. Meanwhile we're also preparing for more such projects in 2022.

Until now we've called them Partnerships for lack of a better word. However, the word Collabs is gaining traction within the team. Seems more fun and open for wider range of projects, commercial and non.

What do you think Patrons? Vote and help us decide. We're curious to know what you think, fire up the comments below!

Collab means active give & take of ideas, actions and processes whilst partnership is getting involved & sharing But Missing Innovation !

here in France, Collabs has a negative meaning that remind WW2. i try to find another one that i can suggest. partnerships seems too professional and conventional. let's try to get a cool name. i think about it overnight. sometimes it pops in my head while falling asleep !

In the USA, usually a partnership means you share some responsibility and reward for the business/initiative. Collaboration would normally mean you offer help and support, but don't share the responsibility/liability for successes and failures.

after a huge 5 mins brainstorming, we came with the idea of FREECYCLERS. why ? we are all linked with the plastic recycling, and PP is free (=open source) and the main resource (plastic) if free! this is what dave mentioned in one of his first videos . there 's a neologism to create . hope you like it too !

There may be an even better word, but of these two options, collaboration seems to more accurately describe the relationships y'all build.

Collabs is shorter. Shorter is simplier ;)

I feel like collabs is a trendy word foe this generation while partnerships will cut across generations. But I think can be used interchangeably, to where it serves its function better.

Marino Hernandez

Collabs sounds more participatory and user oriented, partnerships sounds more exclusive or somehow limited.
