10 YEARS TODAY (Patreon)

Happy 10th birthday to Precious Plastic!

On this day ten years ago, October 21st, 2013, Dave Hakkens published the first video ever about Precious Plastic, introducing the first version of small-scale recycling machines to the world.

Within a decade, Precious Plastic has empowered thousands of people around the world to set up their local recycling projects, build businesses based on the collective knowledge and solutions, recycling tons of plastic waste every year and spreading the awareness about plastic pollution. And we managed to keep it all free and open source, so everyone and everywhere can recycle their plastic waste!

Thank you for joining us on the mission to fix the plastic mess, it's been a wild ride!

On this special day we're excited to announce the launch of the Precious Plastic Open Source Fund, which is a 103,030.00€ gift for our community. Learn everything about it here. With this gift we want to create an opportunity for micro recycling innovators to share their solutions with others Precious Plastic style, free and open source ♡

And now, it’s movie time! Grab a drink and join the Precious Plastic family in watching the flashback of the story that we’ve been collecting, shredding and melting together, on a mission to fix the plastic mess since 2013.
