I love Love Fest. It's one of my 2 favorite fandom festivals of the year (trick or treat is the other). The prompt was: Blaise/ Ginny/ Luna - secret relationship, extended war AU, which is delightfully angsty so of course I jumped on it.

They lie in a tangle pile of limbs and sweat, the glisten of arousal not yet wiped away. They’d leave soon, another safe house burned, but for this fleeting moment, they would nestle into the comfort of each other's sated bodies.

“Did you like the boots?” Ginny traces circles around Blaise’s scared chest.

“Bellissimi.” He kisses her hair and looks to Luna, her tall body stretched against his own, “Your idea I presume?”

“Not the most practical, but they do make her arse look delicious.”

“Excuse you, my arse always looks delicious,” Ginny teased.

Blaise pulls them both closer, savoring the heat of their bodies in a rare moment of quiet. “When this is over, I’ll take you to Milan. We’ll go to Firenze for the leather, then to Milano for the fashion. You’ll love it.”

Ginny threads her fingers through his and stretches to wrap her ankle around Luna’s. “Come with us.”

He shuts his eyes. He wants nothing more than to say yes. He could leave, burn the dark mark from his skin and return with them to headquarters, live every one of his last days between them, but he won’t. He won’t leave Draco and Theo alone.

“Have you seen it?” he asks. Have you seen the end? Have you seen me leave? Is it time?

“Not yet,” Luna whispers.

“We don’t have to wait for another prophecy,” Ginny protests. “You can just come back with us. You’ve done enough.”

Blaise slowly shakes his head. “We know I’m needed there.”

“I keep looking,” Luna admits. She shouldn’t draw so heavily from the fae lands. There will be a price, someday, but that day isn’t today. She watched her mother’s death. She hoped she wouldn’t watch theirs. “It’s not time.”

He kisses her. It’s an apology and forgiveness in one. He would never blame her for her nature.

“We’ll kill him,” Ginny promises. “We’ll kill him, and you can finally come home. You can even bring the ferret and his toy boy.”

Blaise laughs. “They send their regards.” He remembers Draco’s face when he discovered him lurking behind Malfoy wards, rifling through secure shelves, how Draco handed him the cup and walked off with a wink. “The ferret might be the reason this ends. The artifact is in my coat.”

Ginny surged up and kissed him. “You’ll be home soon.”

Luna watched, picking through the threads of time. Too much surrounded them, too many unmade decisions. Ginny was always so sure. Luna never had that luxury.

“Stop,” he broke her from the Sight. His warm hand cupped her face. “I’ll come home or I won’t, but I won’t fail. I won’t fail either of you.”

Ginny gripped tighter to them both. “You better not,” she demanded.

“Would I ever lie?”

“Yes,” they answered in unison and he laughed. It was worth it, to hold them like this, to be known like this. Every meeting was a risk. Every assignment brought him closer to doing the unforgivable, but if he had to die, he died knowing their love, and that was enough.
