Hello,

I changed my mind regarding my Kaylee model's pose, and I decided to go for something a little more traditional. Here you can see a new series of preview images showing the model with lots of refinements. The bad thing is that this big change set me back a little bit and I may not finish it this week, but I believe it was a change for the good.

Kaylee will be released on December 31, 2024.

Wait December 31? Or was that meant to say December 1st?

Mark Fergel

Cool. I liked the last pose but it seemed to miss the tie in with the characters role. This is much better.

Chris

Looks awesome! Just a thought but for something different with the NSFW version-- she could be missing the pink top with just her overalls unzipped and open.

Hesperax

I liked the last pose as a general pose, but agree it didn't look right for Kaylee

Cliff Bryans

Definitely a much better pose for this character. Being that she is the ship mechanic she will need a few tools to do her job.

Rocket

much better pose

MeEarthPrime

Very impressive likeness, looks great.

Jon

Could you do both poses or a choice

Thomas Willmitch

I personally preferred the original, far more dynamic pose with the chair.

CaptainSploosh

I preferred the other pose but all in all, I'm just happy to be getting a Kaylee statue. She's so adorable!

Antti Mikko Autio

Great likeness! 🤩 Really really happy to see a Firefly character 😊

Ron Barrett

Definitely suits her better. Now we are going to have to petition you for the other cast members- this feels like you should just go for another multi-figure diorama! The women of Firefly!

Unfortunately, it's December 31, indeed. Patreon made a few changes to comply with Apple Store's requirements, and one of the changes is that newcomers will be charged on the same day that they signed up for my campaign in each consecutive month, instead of being charged in the first day of the month, as it's always been. So to avoid unfairness, I decided to release models on the last day of the month from now on. Otherwise, a patron who subscribed to me in the last days of November, for example, will get November's models, and then they would also get December's, without being charged again for it, since they wouldn't be charged on the first of December anymore.

That's the feeling I got from the last pose too. I liked it enough to actually make it, but it just didn't seem to fit the character.

I always love to make this sort of alternative piece, but this would require a lot more work than I can dedicate myself to at the moment, unfortunately :(

Yes, I think the current base fits a mechanic character a bit more than the chair from the other pose, although I'm not really going to include tools in the scene.

Oh, I'd definitely love to, but there's a time constraint to this model that limits me to just one pose, unfortunately.

At last we had a Firefly character! Kaylee showed up on my polls many times before, but she always got very few votes. I was surprised to see her finishing in second on the last one!
