Hello!

Before the weekend, I wanted to share with you some of the latest images of my Sister of Purity model. Today I finished working on her armor and gun, and now I need to refine her body and make the elements for the sexy SFW version.

I intend to remove mostly just her chest and waist armor pieces for the sexy SFW and NSFW versions. Do you feel like I should remove more parts for these versions?

She'll be released on July 3, 2023.

I have always liked at least somewhat believable characters (preferably in accordance to the lore), so “It’s magic/ advanced tech you can’t imagine, stupid!” has always been a red flag for me. That being said, I don’t like the idea of leaving out breast and hip armor (Imagine in a 50’s female dummy voice: “Ooopsie, now I forgot to put on my top and stand in the midst of a fierce, scary battle with my boobs hanging out. Oooooohh” Not to mention she would strangle herself/break her neck with such massive pauldrons pulling on that plate coif - or the pauldrons would just fall down if you remove the coif they're usually fixed to) or the thought of battle damage (If you think where that damage would occur, it’s believable to lose the pauldrons, knee caps, shin or lower arm armor but not the breast plate that’s never in the first line to be hit if the wearer at least somewhat knows what to do and is the strongest part of every armor protecting the heart and other vital organs. And don’t get me started on the lore of the reference… let’s keep it at you need such excessive force to destroy that kind of material that the wearer won’t be able to take that without getting seriously injured/mutilated – no offense David). My suggestion would be to remove the breastplate along with the coif and pauldrons and at least the upper arm armor, remove the armor on the booty and the crotch with the loin cloth and think of it as some kind of heavy metal lingerie (corsage with high boots/suspenders). And while we’re at it I would prefer such a NSFW variant without weapons. Now I know that all of that is heavily dependent on taste and how much that heightens the workload, but still… just my 2 cents.

This is all good advice, but better suited for an original character. People overwhelmingly voted for a sister in a 40k universe. Most people never even get space marines right most of the time based on the lore. A bolt is supped to be a coke can size. C’mon those are mini artillery shells launched and most people and games depict it as barely scratching enemies while they should be shredding them in an orgy of blood. I’ve given up on justifying 40k as anything even believable and attached to reality. People love it for its ridiculousness anyway.

Well, no arguing about that. But still, asked for my opinion (personal taste if you prefer) my statement still stands. ;) And seriously, I think we can agree that Torrida isn't "most people", can't we? :P

Besides... do you really want just more of the same?

looking good, I really like it, only thing is the magazine is a bit undersized, and needs to be bigger, especially with the massive barrel we have. Also, do I see an 8 pointed star on her, so is she secretly an evil chaos agent? And one last thing, the kneepads, they look a bit odd, it might look better if there are either parts of the plate boot or are over it, at the moment it looks a bit like someone just stuffed some coat of arm in there. (I hope I did not sound too harsh and nag too much, I really like the model and just wanted to give some constructive criticism )

Thank you very much for the feedback, Max. And as a big fan of hard sci-fi, I totally understand your point. And I reached the same conclusion that you did. The way I see it, NSFW versions in cases like this are more of a fetish thing than an actual representation of an action scene. A kind of heavy metal lingerie, like you described :) I found a cosplayer who came up with a nice and sexy alternative to this kind of armor, so I think I'm going to use her as my main reference. It's mostly a matter of removing a few parts, though.

Thank you for the input! I'll make a few changes to the model based on your feedback, and then post some updates :)

Oh, and about the star, that's just ignorance on my part and a sad coincidence. I had no idea this had any actual meaning in this context! :O I just wanted to make something decorative to avoid using the usual symbol the character uses. I'll just remove the triangles and leave the circle for a while.
