Test drawing my Daily Life comics in manga style. Don't get me wrong, I love reading manga. But I just can't help but making fun of its signature Big Eyes and abusive use of onomatopoeias... and flowers popping out of nowhere. XD

This is beautiful, oh my goodness.

Adorable! I wish I could read it. I live in Japan and still can't 😂

Thank you. I use Google translate. So don't count on the accuracy of the translation. XD

For the non manga readers, it's definitely a different experience. XD XD

Love it! 😅😅😅

What does the Japanese say? Sorry to ask.

Joe: The diner is ready, babe. Me: Damn. It's already so late? Me: Why? I haven't even finished one page of comics yet. XD XD

Always love big eyes since I was a kid and the artist Walter and Margaret Keane in the '60's. Japanese seemed to love them too because all Japanese comics & animation from then on had big eyes. Very cartoony. So you understand Japanese characters with no translation?

Antonio

Aww 😍 cute ☺️

Michael Smith

Random flowers? Sounds like you've been reading a lot of Shojo.

David Proby

So cute. The eyes almost remind me of Chibi. What made you wanna try manga style Song?

This comic expressed characteristics of Japanese comics! I'm Japanese. When I read your comics, one of favorite thins is seeing different from Japanese comics.🤣🤣😍

Joe: The diner is ready, babe. 「夕飯ができたよベイビー」 Me: Damn. It's already so late? 「くそっ、もうそんな時間？」 Me: Why? I haven't even finished one page of comics yet. 「なぜ？まだ１ページも描けてないのに」

Thought I entered the wrong page at first😂

Tim Clements-Levin

That's wild! No a style I prefer, but it shows the breadth of your talent that you CAN draw in Manga.

Steven

Those yellow underwear must be Joe's favorite, I've noticed they repeat in several comics :)

Miguel Cueva

Love it! Big Anime fan here! Great Job!

Thank you very much, Tim. I can try drawing in a few styles, maybe the next time I should try american comic book style just for fun. Lol

Lol, that makes me happy. It's true that Manga has such a distinguish style to it. XD

Thank you very much for the correction. I used Google translate, so I understand that my Japanese here must be awkward in places. XD

Thank you very much, David. I stopped reading manga a while ago, and I restared reading mangas lately, and it just inspired me. XD

Yes, and I knew about that part of art history through Tim burton's movie "Big Eyes". I don't speak a word of Japanese, but Google translate is a big help. XD

Thank you very much, it's great to get the approval of a real Japanese. It's true that manga and European comics are very different, from the graphic style to the narration style. XD

What a wonderful film. A friend of mine owns a few both Walter and Margaret Keane paintings. Amazing to see them in person. Say what you will but did paint just not as good as his wife. The movie was just a movie. There is so much more to the story.

Love your manga style :-) I'm a big manga-fan too...which are your favorite artists? ;-)
