If you want to be unhappy, just live by other people’s expectations. Especially if you’re a dull gay man like me. XD

It’s something I learned quite late in life, but I’m glad I’ve learned it now.

Different from what I was shifting after reading the title (before seeing the actual image), but I’m glad it wasn’t a situation with Joe! Not the usual “daily life” moment, thank goodness. Definitely a tricky thing to unlearn, but worth it once you get it.

Isn't that what most gay men do? They all think they have to look a certain way to fit in. They all think they have to be muscular to get accepted. A lot of them abuse their body by taking lots of drugs and steroids (I was like that too in my younger years). Luckily I figured it out quite early in life that I didn't want to be part of that superficial scene. When you are young you want to fit in, I get that, but I see lots of men in their 40's, 50's and some in their 60's who still are doing all they can to fit in. In my opinion they should know better, but of course everybody is free to choose their own path.

You're not dull! Your creations give so many of us Joy and inspiration. You CAN choose to make your own expectations and what others think has nothing to do with you. A saying I've always loved: 'What other people think of you is none of your business.' Stay the course YOU choose, Song.
