Joe and I caught the news live on CNN yesterday before any french channel ever reported it.

Police in California have named a woman who opened fire at YouTube’s headquaters in a suburb of San Francisco, injuring three, before killing herself.

Officials from the San Bruno police department identified her as Nasim Najafi Aghdam, who was in her late 30s.

Police said the motivation was unclear, but her father, Ismail Aghdam, told the news that she was furious with YouTube because it had stopped paying her for videos she posted on the platform.

We here in the U.S. have such s crisis with guns it is beyond ridiculous. It’s so sad.

Amanda Lee

Is horrible that every month we heard about shooting cases.

Danny Provencio

Wish were only concerned about trains. Ugh. And response is more guns.

Danny Provencio

Don’t blame any of you guys about how you feel about Americans and our guns. I was raised in southwest with guns. We went hunting all the time as a kid. We killed thumper’s and bambi’s.

I can't believe that made national news. Our 2nd amendment in our constitution which is the right to bear arms has a very racist history and no one acknowledges it. Our constitution is a mess and it's never been changed in the 240 years since it was made. The politicians are all bought out the NRA so they won't or at least haven't made any gun control laws to protect us. It's honestly scary, we have a militarized police force and mentally unsound people who can get guns.

Lilysenpai

Yep. I'm gonna change that now

Gun control, or total confiscation as the democrats want, is not the answer.

Wil Chaney

Gun control, which is a braid statement, is not the answer. Ask Chicago how that’s going. They have the highest murder rate in the country. It’s a mental health and broken home issue. We need to be able to intervene when we see the signs, like the Parkland murderer. This country has gotten too politically correct.

I know my hometown of Chicago is a common political talking point, but please research the facts. It is a very short commute to Wisconsin and Indiana (you can be in Indiana from downtown Chicago in less than 1 hour). Neither WI or IN requires licenses or permits to purchase a gun and they don't require waiting periods. Gangs in Chicago (and even homeowners) simply drive across the state line to pick up weapons. You can't do this as easily in Los Angeles! I encourage anyone citing Chicago gun stats to google around and examine some of the research on how the Chicago gun supply works. Thanks!

Wil Chaney

That only emboldens my argument that don’t control doesn’t work.

Chris Redbeard

If you mean that gun control doesn't work when you surround it with easily accessible guns, you are correct. But if you think gun control on a national level doesn't work, you are wrong. Research the changes in Australia. While I understand that you may have a preference/ethical belief in the right to bear (all) arms, the data show that gun controls do, in fact, prevent gun-related deaths. Please don't cite data when you do not have a data argument, clearly state that you have a "belief". Thanks!

My belief, fostered by liberals who speak candidly, is that democrats want to take away guns from law abiding citizens in the same vein that Hitler, Mao, and Stalin did. Thereby making it easier for government control. It only removes gun from those who follow the law, not the criminals. I don’t have the time to cite the studies that bolster my argument.
