These days I don't like watching news on TV at all. I know a lot of people are rooting for certain good cause and changes in our society. But all I can see is a society more and more divided, and we don't see nearly enough dispaly of love and solidarity on our TV screen. And I'm tired of seeing people fighting people on media.  It's sad.

Please remember that LGBTQ + people started gaining rights by showing their anger against the police during the Stonewall riots.

Yea it’s really annoying. At my job , what used to be connectivity somewhat with conversations and being around people, now I see everyone being sheep and not seeing that all of what is happening is exactly the government’s plan . And there is nothing that can change that when a lot of people are being sheep and not using their brains to think outside the box.

I think it is different than that. Of course, governments not always are trustworthy, but I don’t really blame them for our lost capacity to connect. Doing so would simply shift the fault to something/someone that is easier to accuse, but the reality of facts is that it is mostly our fault, as humans. No matter how crushed we can be, we have somehow always managed to get better and better throughout ages...but now it seems to me that we are stepping back, for the very first time in history. And for that, I don’t blame the governments...I blame ourselves.

If you are talking about the CoVid-19 situation, well...I’d rather behave as a “sheep” than going against the common sense, risking to be devoured by the wolf. In these times everyone is a sheep, according to...everyone: you are wearing a mask and practicing social distancing? You’re a sheep slave of the system! You go against the rules and don’t believe anything? You’re a sheep that follows the first stupid that’s screams what you want to hear. There’s no need to give etiquettes to people...instead we should try to live respecting each other and to leave behind this social anger.

This particular strip is so...misguided. News fatigue is real, and we all need to know our limits, but if it’s rough to simply watch, imagine living the reality of those who die at the hands of the police. Just In the last week, there’s been progress that would have been unheard of 5 months ago. It’s because people are being informed, not turning away because it’s too much, but reacting in solidarity. And city council members are finally listening.

This is how Jack and I are, we love cuddles especially during these times of the COVID situation, worrying about my dad being overseas on his last deployment, his dad’s health and my grandmother’s overall mental state. Plus fatherhood. But in these small moments, we take time just to call each other and see how each other is in a deeper level, even spent over an hour on the phone talking about stuff we see on the news with me being a black man and him a white man (half English from his dad side) and thankfully he fully understands the movements going on and he knows things have to change for the better. I’m so happy to call Jack my king and future husband 3 years in ☺️☺️

Jesus did used violence (in the temple of Jerusalem, for instance), MLK didn't, ended up murdered, all for not so much progress until now. Ghandi didn't...but was racist towards black people. Stop using them as relevant examples.

A lot of what you’re saying is true , howevrr one thing is while yes is it important that respect is needs to be more apparent and stop being so angry against each other. But I don’t practice social distancing because I’m never around people a lot. And if I am around someone it’s gonna be someone I know and besides, I’m a bit of a rebel and others around me in my life are too which completely goes against what they be so pressed about not being in contact which contact is part of being a human being on this planet in the first place.

As for the mask part, I only do so in order to get what I need done. But I am very vocal in not wearing it. Still to this day, the indecisive CDC which I never praise in following everything they say because they are not a higher being them me, doesn’t even know themselves the true transmission and everything about the virus for months, and now they wanting to start bullshit about some 2nd wave? It’s hard not to believe this is a plan and it’s mostly government’s fault in wanting this. I will say it’s also us being human ourselves fault but I don’t see how what happens to us already, is what we keep letting it continue and continue and not letting this stupidness to just go on and on. All the information regarding this is all over the place. There has never been one virus in this world that ends a core part in being human and killing the ways we usually do business ever and now this virus comes to the show and does all that in weeks? I cannot believe for one second this is a virus that came from something that was not created by some laboratory.

Breonna Taylor was Sleeping in her bed peacefully when armed police officers broke into her home and KILLED HER while she was sleeping. She was laying next to her lover. It's hard to face the reality that violence and injustice goes on around us, but when we don't speak up and fight back against it. We allow that injustice to continue. To any that loves holding on to someone just remember. The only reason we as gay people can enjoy SONG's work today is because enough people were outraged at homophobia and bigotry. Black Lives Matter. Stonewall Pride was Riot.
