Big hugs to you both. My hubby is the same. He's been working through COVID (essential employee) but he got a viral infection that kept him off work for a whole month. Going back was really hard for him. There aren't a lot of jobs out there right now in Alberta so even if he was ready to find something else, there's no real jobs to find. I try to encourage him but I think there's a certain level of fear there for him. Btw: If Joe is a good salesman there's always work. Maybe he can find something he enjoys selling more. My company sells investment products, for example. Something like that might be more of a challenge for him. And he'd probably make more money. My friend always says: It's easier to find a job when you have a job, so Joe could certainly start to look without quitting first.
