You guys just need communications with each other, deeply. Let him know that making comic is your life-long passion. I saw your other comic books, and trust me, YOU ARE VERY TRUELY TALENTED! So please don't give up. I think you could make money through helping people to customize photos. You can make T-shirts, shopping bags, postcards or anything for them. Any maybe you can try to use Weibo, a Chinese version twitter, I think you'll be popular on there too because your stories are really fascinating. Don't worry about the language, most Chinese people can read some easy English words and we'd love to learn English through that way. So you could get more fans from there.
