I always know Nico has a fascination for younger guys. His last boyfriend was much younger than him. And when Nico lost his job, that one didn't stick around very long. I thought Nico could at least learn something from that unfortunate experience...

Just to be clear, I'm not against the age difference. Age is just a number. But in the best interests of Nico, he's unemployed and going through a depression, does he really need a boyfriend who is in high school and has no financial independence and probably not mature enough emotionally? I'm worried.

This is my first big fight with Nico. And I'll tell you guys more details later.

Oh god. During my high school I had a friend dating a much older guy. Like near 30 years old. And let me just say that my friend wasn't a very nice person at all. He was just using that guy por his own advantage. I REALLY hope that new Nico's boyfriend is a good person, independently is age.

Take it easy. I dated a lot if older guys when I was very young and it matured me. I was extremely independent. Hated to have guys pay for me. You never know Some 19 year olds are responsible. Nico seems to need this. Support him more. He needs your support not your criticism right now. Yes this may not work out but then again it might. Teddy Roosevelt married an extremely young bride had a huge family and was deeply devoted and in love with each other.

My hope is that Nico has been totally honest with the young man about what he's been through and where he is now emotionally. If the young man is responsible with a good heart & mind, he'll hopefully have the ability to be aware that he needs to be supportive and not a "user".

I do think it's slightly short-sighted to think that a relationship with that much of a generational gap can really stand the test of time. But is he looking for something to stand the test of time? Sure, younger guys have their appeal...and it's an appeal that guys our age can't have...yet, they come from generations (plural) after ours. They're internal wiring is different and they make decisions based on different values because of their youth and how they perceive the world. He can still have fun though :D

I think you were right to question him. He does not take very good care of himself it seems, and adding what amounts to a child into a mix of unemployment, depression, lethargy does not seem healthy to me :( sometimes it's important to have disagreements with friends and partners in order to resolve issues. If this young boy leaves him worse than his previous youthful ex... What then? Either way, Nico seems like an earnest and lovely person; I hope the argument is resolved soon! ❤️

Thank you very much, Tim. From what I heard, Nico's new love interest is from a single parent family. That boy is raised by a single mother who's also unemployed. I know it's not good to judge, but the more I heard, the more worried I'm. Nico is already emotionally unstable, I just don't know if this is a good choice he made. Fingers crossed.

I'd love him to not get hurt again by choosing a more responsible and mature man. A high school boy is not my definition of "mature responsible man". I'm sorry.

Thank you very much, Rach. I totally agree with you, that's how I see this as well. I once was 19 years old, and one thing I know, at 19, I was much less mature that what I'm today. Nico is not very young anymore, and he's weak due to his depression, he needs someone more caring and responsable and financially independent. I'm just worried this is not going to end well.

I don't think a lot of people will actually associate a comic book with us in real life. If one day I can reach a much larger popularity, I would probably think twice about this. But at this point, I don't have a big following, so I think our privacy is still safe. Thank you for the concerns.

I actually agree with you but it is his life. Really are you not going to be there when and if it fails I think not. Be a friend and just support him. All of us have a right to fall flat on our faces. I hope I have friends there to help me pick up the pieces because really that's what friends are for.
